Why when a worm dies are there several smaller explosions over him and not only the ball of where he is? or atrlest thats what it looks like it does, it has several ball looking explosions above his head.

They're just a visual effect. Bubbles, just like the ones coming out of every other explosion in the game. Don't harm anyone or anything.

The latter.
Normally these bubbles are flying around randomly in arches and in different sizes.
Not 5 of the same size in horizontal line.

Sometimes they're alligned like that, heh. Look like small explosions above the grave. In a line, just like on that pic. Visual effect only, though, so it hardly matters!

Note that I only got 3 "baloons" above my head. Though I'm sure I saw 5 on a regular basis. I think this has something to do with the worm's name, and was originally designed like it would evaporate or something.

that mkaes more sence, cyber's way i'd assume but then again i checked in a few games and they were alligned every time.

Try it with worms whose names aren't long. For example, the 7-UP team I use has short worm names, so I can't remember the last time the bubbles were this obvious for me.

I think we're onto something here, with the names...I'm-a just gonna check-a it out...
