I recently purchased worms 4 ignoring the problems i had with the demo, rather stupidly it would appear. The problem i have had since the demos to release is some sort of incompatibility with my keyboard. Basically the game thinks im holding down the last key i've used and it means creating teams is impossible, as is movement within the game. My keyboard is a Saitek Eclipse, a usb keyboard, i have no idea if its with all usb keyboards or specific to my board. No drivers are available for the board either. I was wondering has anyone had the same problem?Have they solved it other than using a different keyboard?And do team17 plan on fixing this in the next patch?

You guys should mail Saitek people. I found them pretty responsive when I have had to deal with them.

I know this post is pretty old, but I encountered this problem recently and I contacted Saitek about it. They said that the keyboard ran on the standard USB Keyboard drivers supplied with Windows, so that it's strange that it would be incompatible. During our discussion via e-mail, I asked about my keyboard being recognized as "Gaming Keyboard Pro" (which is another Saitek product, the Eclipse keyboard w/ extra gaming pad), they said that some of the Eclipse keyboard hardware was the same as the Gaming Keyboard Pro's on some models, and that disabling the entries in Device Manager would correct it.

It turns out that's the problem, Windows recognizing the Eclipse as the Gaming Keyboard Pro causes some kind of driver conflict that is evident in both Worms 4 and Worms 3D. So if you have a Saitek Eclipse and you're having problems, here is how to fix it.

In Windows XP

Go to "Start"
Mouse over "My Computer"
Right click and select "Properties"
Select the "Hardware" tab
Click the "Device Manager" button
Find "Human Interface Devices", (+)
You should see devices named "USB Human Interface Device"

This next step you should complete for all "USB Human Interface Device"'s

Double click "USB Human Interface Device", a window should come up, under location you should see "USB Gaming Keyboard Pro" in parenthesis, if not close and try a different "USB Human Interface Device". Once you find one, look to the bottom of the window where it says "Device Usage", if this area is grayed out, again move on to another "USB Human Interface Device". Once you find one where the Device Usage is not grayed out, select "Do not use this device (disable)" and then press ok. Do this for every "USB Human Interface Device" that pertains to "USB Gaming Keyboard Pro" and can be disabled.

In my case I had two that could be disabled and one that couldn't, in the end my keyboard still worked and even better, it worked in Worms!

If you keyboard stops working you may have disabled the wrong device, re-enabling them will fix this.

i installed it on windows 7 with an original CD but iam having problems with the FOCKIN MOUSE :mad: it doesn''t move at all even at the begining menu.

i've searched all over the internet finding this same problem but no rezults.

Try pressing Alt + Tab to switch to another program/anything then go back to the game, worked for me, I had the same problem...

srry i tried it 5 times over it diden't work, i can swichts to anoter program but when i turn back to the game nothing happens with the mouse.

are u sure you had windows 7?

Yes, 100% sure.
Try patching the game to the latest version if you don't have the latest version.

i cant move the mouse when i start the game. waa pls help me. how do i fix it? pls pls:(

Go back into the game.
Mouse fixed.
