Because the last one got a bit messed up. Continue to refer most discussion to this thread (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=29934).

How many should go through - top two or top three?

I don't think any more than that. Unless of course Akuryou or Iguana are in the top two/three ;)

I supose the red and blue ones would do.

FutureWorm

We still need five four more votes to get back up to 21.

SomePerson
8 Aug 2006, 19:38
You might be getting fewer votes because the results are public, and so everyone can see whom you choose.

I haven't voted in either because I know nothing about the people in question.

Edit: Well, I know Akuryou13 and Iguana, but none of the others.

SupSuper
8 Aug 2006, 19:44
Plus at this point, 4 votes won't make any difference unless they're all focused on Seita.

FutureWorm
9 Aug 2006, 00:21
Meh, guess that's true. Should we nominate these four people to Sel, then?

I wholeheartedly endorse this product and/or service.

So...
Sel's back?

SupSuper

Yep .
I’ll be back on the 8th August.

Yay .

Also, another yay for helping me learn how to get past the 10 character limit.

Will we be seeing these guys in tomorrow?

Slick
10 Aug 2006, 00:42
Well for some odd reason... to find more people to join OD seems that it would be more difficult in the next round of invites.

I see what you mean. The pool is going to dry up eventually, and odds are, OD will slowly die with it.

They will be in by the end of the week.

Evil Bunny, MrBunsy, Lex and KRD now have access to OD. :)

Lex
11 Aug 2006, 13:11
Hello. Thanks for whoever voted me in here. :) I'm surprised many of you didn't pick CyberShadow, as he tends to be very logical in thought, interesting, and suchlike. He's brilliant.

Well, anyway, thanks again. The existence of this forum is really a huge surprise to me.

FutureWorm
11 Aug 2006, 19:02
You can see who voted for you by clicking the numbers, as this is a public poll. :p

Seriously, though, hope you enjoy your stay here and contribute to the OD community.

I have suggested (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showpost.php?p=518147&postcount=40) him, but haven't voted for him, as I think that talkative people like you and KRD fit much better in here.

I say we should remember CyberShdw & Seita for the next invitation round.

Yes, agreed.

Edit: Don't answer that.

I'm sorry, it just stems from a lot of safety education as a kid. The Order's methods are a bit old-fashioned but they've been in use for hundreds of years so I have little reason or desire to question them.

Oh, my!
I'm still not over it psychical and physical. :(

Psychical!? I'll have to meditate for a few hours to get my psychic abilities back in check. I'm a bit rusty.

I say we should remember CyberShdw & Seita for the next invitation round.Hmm, wait. I talk about things on the Team17 forums with Vladimir (CyberShadow) all the time. He reads everything, but only posts where he finds something great to say, rather than spamming, like I tend to do. He saves the spamming for his conversations with me. Here, though, where there are great things to read instead of loads of newbies asking how to host on WA, CyberShadow would talk much more freely, I'm sure.

So, I'm feeling sort of sick that I can be here, but not talk to Vladimir about this forum. Hmm.

Plutonic
12 Aug 2006, 02:02
Just wait untill the next rounds and im sure he'll be in ;)

Lex

Good! I'll be patient. /me taps his foot with an agitated look on his face. :p

Star Worms
12 Aug 2006, 02:14
Well the problem is if he doesn't post much, his posts aren't often noticed.

SomePerson
12 Aug 2006, 02:40
It is unfortunate that some good people don't get let in as early as they should.

However, they can always be added later.

But if we let someone undesireable in here, we're screwed. They can expose us and cause all sorts of havoc.

So, unfortunately, we're forced to be highly conservative.

I would also like to add that our criteria for this forum is a little hard to judge. Here, we talk about random stuff, but we have to judge people on how sensible they are when talking in a confined topic. I mean, someone may be a real hoot to talk to about the kinda stuff we talk about here, but we'll never know because we only see them post about Worms.

And thus I say that personal recommendations between people who convserse frequently should mean a lot, because Alex here knows the side of Cybershadow we care most about, but that we can't see from his posts.

Plutonic
12 Aug 2006, 13:12
I have cybershadow on MSN too, only a recent thing and havent realy got round to talking too him much, most of it is updates on wormkit and mapgen. Spends alot of time 'busy'... although I must admit my MSN status is always on Away. (I do mean always, i never take it off).

Lex

CyberShadow was recently away on a week-long vacation at sea. That may be why he has seemed sparse.

This explains the new slightly bizzare looking section that didn't quite make sense... I've just got back from a sleep deprevated week long camp and wasn't sure if this was entirely real (it's been that sort of a week).

Well, hello! I'd never have guessed this place existed.

Ooh, more private circles to add to my list of private circles! Thanks for the trust, sirs! :p

Just the other day [in the spirit of his First+ Names thread] Alex Folland messaged me welcoming me in. I had no idea what kind of overdose he was talking about until yesterday, heh. Thought this place had been closed rather than upgraded security-wise after the *ahem* shady warzone-like business that went on between this one and that other community. Cunning!

That was a long time ago, though, and probably isn't a taboo subject anymore, so I feel I should let you know I hadn't exactly gone out of my way to object when certain individuals were coming up with novel ways of getting their accounts banned from these forums. Heck, I might even have joined in on the general humourous mood a couple times. "Fanboys" and "L17" running gags spring to mind, heheh. Anyone remember?

But so yes, that was a while ago now. Still, I'm curious what the stance would be if, say, someone suggested a CheechLizard or a Dig [if they were still around regularly] for this here Illuminati-like society. For the sake of discussion!

If you'll let me, I'll definetley suggest Vahagn when someone next comes up with a poll of this sort, though. Quite surprised he hasn't been invited yet, seeing as he's done nothing but good and lots of it for the community over the years. I suppose he has been rather inactive since this forum was thought up, but lately his humour and general jolliness have been at it again, keeping our clan's forums interesting. At the risk of sounding like I want all of SFX in here... All hail great V!

Ah yes, you'll probably have to remind me not to do the essay thing I did just now in the future. I've always been like this, either posting big posts that say rather little [or do they...] or not post at all. Your choice!

Plutonic
15 Aug 2006, 02:15
hehe, I tried to explain to bunny that he now had access but he didn't seem to realy know what was going on either. Hopefully he will work it out eventually. lol

Lex
15 Aug 2006, 07:09
Gregor, your posts are perfect. You may continue writing long posts. They are always thought-provoking.

Of course all of SfX should be here, except, perhaps, ChriSchi. You know what I'm talking about, surely.

This entire forum would explode with such force that it would actually blow a gigantic hole in the fabric of time and space.

"Fanboys"

Yeah, that's us. Although ironically, we're now shaking our heads at the current younger generation as much as you guys were with us... I guess these things are cyclical.

KRD you're sitting in #PT a lot on WNET. Are you actually there or is it a ghost?

KRD
16 Aug 2006, 00:51
Technically it is me. If you go out of your way to message me, my [not-unofficial-IRC-client-so-I-don't-get-banned-again-please] beeps, so I'll normally respond if I'm in range.

Why technically? Because I use the name "NogardDerNaerok" when I'm actually there via WA.

Cryptic? Yes.

Hey, wait. I just did what you said to do, which could be considered ass-kissing. This is a paradox.

Judging by that other thread, I'd say he's got enough ass to kiss as it is. ×=

[not-unofficial-IRC-client-so-I-don't-get-banned-again-please]

Isn't it annoying having the WA frontend on all the time so your processor is at 100%? Or did Snooper magically start working?

KRD
16 Aug 2006, 22:40
Oh, Snooper never really stopped working. Version 1.4 works pretty well nowdays still, at least if you're lucky enough not to get the bug that prevents you from seeing anyone that's signed on before you did.

I use mIRC now and it works like a charm. There's no way I could spend any amount of time chatting on WormNet if I had to be there through WA; the 100% resource usage gets this laptop overheating in 10 minutes. Liquified heavy metals start drizzling out after 20.

As long as you don't do anything scripty or connect to the server 5 times in quick succession you're fine with mIRC. No harm done to anyone. Do anything weird, however, and a 24-hour ban is upon yer IP.

100% OT material?

Lex

I know he was because he was asking about which of the two official clients you were using, jokingly. :p
