this might be a stupid question, but how do you start a completely new game? like, i deleted my team which had completed all missions, training, etc. but the unlockable cheats are still there. any way to remove all progress?
This is a good question actually.
Try an external team editor (Annelid's TeamED) and reset all missions, trainings and deathmatches.
But since you could delete your team without any effect, I guess that won't help either.
Re-installing would be the only solution, I'd say.

Better use my backup tool (http://wiki.thecybershadow.net/WormsBackup) before starting to play. ;)

Personally I am perfectly OK with that as long as it links to my wiki (http://wiki.thecybershadow.net/Worms_Knowledge_Base) ;)
You can restart your progress by deleting your default team file. (found in \user\teams folder) An alternative method is to use a team editor to edit your existing team file and manually remove the progress you made.
wwp and w:a team files both have headers in the file. The header holds information regarding unlockables, top records, and other stuff. Following the header is the data for each team. Records and information are also saved here, but only for the specific team. Deleting a team deletes that specific teams progress, but does not delete the information stored in the header.

The original poster said he did delete his team file and the unlockables where still there.
Also, what if you have unlocked everything with 2 teams?
He means he deleted hos team. Not his team file. Look it up. Deleting a team only removes part of the wg.wgt file. Delete the whole wg.wgt file to remove your progress.

i got rid of the wg.wgt file in the teams folder and it worked perfectly. thanks for the help!
Nah, Bonz. It wasn't obvious. Don't worry about it. Nobody uses the in-game team editor any more anyway. Heck, I didn't remember the "delete team" button in it until I read Muzer's post.
Well, you can know you're not stupid because I'm quite confident I'm not stupid! ;D

I do! It's still convenient enough for me. :D

Do you remember that nickname we used to give you?
Who are you talking to? ;)
