View Full Version : Crate drop rates

I remember there was an option that would increase the rates in which crates were dropped (not just the chances of getting a crate). I remember turning it all the way up and crates would drop like madness during a non-mission.

Could someone point me to it?

go into the options and ull see 3 pics, a wep crate, health crate and utility crate. ull see spaces with boxes, one with an s. click ont hat section several times till all the boxes across from the weapon have an S then every turn a crate will drop.

the rates in which crates were dropped (not just the chances of getting a crate).

What's the difference?

If the chances of getting a crate to land in any given turn is very high, then surely the overall rate of crate landings is also high.

How are they not the same thing?

unless hes talking about crate shower, but that was never an option. in worms 2 i think you could activate it with a code during the game, and WWP might have had it on wormpot, but as of yet WA only has it as a crate pick-up.

Correct.
It was the **supershopper** cheat code in W2.
The SUPA SHOPPA cheat code in WDC (technically it substitutes the mines on the terrain by crates).
And the crate shower wormpot mode in WWP.
Crate shower in W:A is an instant-effect item available in utility crates only.

How are they not the same thing?I think the difference is, one is the given chance of a crate drop occuring each turn, while the other is the rate at which crates will fall at one given turn. Therefore one controls the chance of crates falling in one given turn, and the other controls how much crates fall in said turn. If that makes sense.

Me! Me! Me!
I want to try an interpretation too !

I suppose he's stating a difference between the crates frequency in scheme options, and the probabilities to find a specific weapon in a weapon crate, that you can set in weapons panel.

Oooooh. Now that implies an omission in the first post, which is certainly possible.

Tune in tomorrow to find out who's won!

Seita wins at logic, as always.
