Some history: My brothers friend gave us worms armageddon for the pc and it worked on our older pc and it had windows 98 but now we have a new pc with windows XP. I can get it to install but whenever i try to create a new team or start a match it stops working!!! ( i already downloaded the update for windows XP) It is version 3.0

In your case, a clean reinstall of the game followed by the latest beta update (extracted to the correct directory) should do.
