How can people hate GTA? Despite concervative grownups who don't like games becomming a big thing.

GTA 4 will be very interesting to see how it turns out. As long as the story is good, has good charecters and is funny, aswell as being set in a time modern enough to have fast vehicles, this game is bound to be great.

Killing pedestrains and all core ingreadient stuff in GTA is getting boring, but who plays the games for that any anyway, by now every game allows you to do that stuff..

San Andreas had a stupid storyline, in my opinion, and the extreme use of the African American vernacular English was a bit over the top.
No, make that a lot over the top. Every time I bumped into a car, CJ would yell at the top of his lungs, "****ing *****, I'll rape your mother with an axe!1!

Or something along those lines. It got quite annoying at some point.

Later parts of the game were good though. You can't get bored of crashing jet planes on the highway :p

The huge amounts of cliched "ghetto" slang and boring first bits sort of put me off SA. I'll probably try it later, if the later parts are really THAT good.

I played few times with two friends:

-The owner of the game: Let's do the missions! but the right way!

-The other guy: Hey! another band! let's kill them!

-Me: I CAN DESTROY LAMPOSTS PUNCHING THEM! LOOK! A CAR! TO THE SEA IT GOES! crap... I'm dead...

Regardless of setting, it'll still be called GTA 4, as they have no reason to add the location name as a subtitle - after all, it is GTA 4.

Personally I think they'll go for the same idea of GTA 2, and what what the GTA3-triple pack did for GTA 1 (for the uninitiated, the reason they chose the 3 cities ('Liberty City', 'Vice City' and 'San Andreas' is because they were the 3 locations in the original). After all, people like Reputation sub-systems, which were prevalent in GTA 2 (again for those unfamiliar, the game had three gangs: The Loony gang; the Zaibatsu gang; and the Yakuza gang)

And should the Loony gang return, oh the fun I shall have!

That game was awesome. It was fun trying to see how long you could survive killing cops. It would usually end when the army came along :p

Going on god mode was awesome too, being inmune to missiles and all that.

I had fun putting oil slicks in the middle of the road when the cops were after me, and then watch the show.

The "3dish 2d" enviroment was also neat. Like your character flying towards the screen when hit by an explosion, or using ramps or bridges to throw your car on top of others.
