Good Gravy.
Japanese cartoons are w-ahem, sorry.
Japanese cartoons are WIERD, man.
And on worms it looks even wierder.
But, you forgot a vital part of manga. Blue hair. You gotta have blue hair.
Apart from the fact that mine has blond hair!
Okay, it's wierd.
Just that.
Wierd.
All you did was give them big eyes, arms, and big round heads separate from their body.
The only acceptable thing is the big eyes. The rest is just screwing the shape of the worms and calling it Manga.

Yes I agree with plasma, the only things that are good are the eyes. You expect me to believe that everything other than the eyes is manga?

technacly speaking: the word manga refers to a specific art STYLE (not stuff like *insert popular anime here*)
besides I draw this stuff, I can do what I want with it.

Big eyes doesn't make it manga.
There are a lot of other things that makes something similar to the eastern style.
For one thing, the worm being shot away from the explosion has crude motion lines behind him.
For an actual eastern style, there wouldn't be any lines behind him, as that's a western technique. Instead, they put the motion lines in the BACKGROUND, so we seem to be looking directly at the object while the world rushes by.

And they seem to be standing on the horizon line, which is not a good sign.

manga is like making a caricature out of something, make the 'vital' parts bigger or find a way to make them noticeable
e.g. people in manga have bigger eyes, small noses (because they mostly aren't important for showing something), exaggerated expressions/emotions etc...
worms would proberly be like this:
bigger mouth
larger overbite
bigger mouth
exaggerated emotions/expressions
im not sure if all the above is right, i think i read it in an e-book about drawing manga, i never started drawing it though because it mostly about "how to draw girls with big breast and buttocks in a way too small bikini in a style called manga"

They did once.
There's no reason why he can't include arms.

Ummm...don't mind me, but this would be my version of a manga worm.
Yes, they are almost like manga, though. But I suggest go reading some real manga first, then try and copy one out of there... I don't know.

LW, if you want to post manga worms, learn to draw manga first, and then come back and redraw these worms in a form that resembles manga.

Well...they can be utterly huge like those japanese monsters... :D
About the drawing, sorry but it's awful... i think you should follow plasma's advices towards it...

Means Japanese comics. Not all manga has large eyes.
See attachment. Sorry... I was a little slow on that...
(not stuff like *insert popular anime here*)
Difference there!!! Not all manga is an anime! Animes are animated only, while the manga is the original art. If you look, you can spot differences between one character in the original manga, and the same character in anime.
I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all...I just love manga

Anime is an animation of a cartoon... just like we have Garlfield's comics that turned into an animated TV cartoon, the same happens to japanese stuff.
Manga are to animes as comics are to cartoons.
So, yea, if you go to Japan and start a comic with an western technic, they'll likely call it a manga too... :p

Me thinks me may need to do some explaining... (Why didn't I add this to the top post?)
The basic style of the Worms is a Chibi style, a chibi is a small, cute character thats used in nonsenceical comics, the link between chibis and worms is strong...
I am not adding hair to the Worms, unless I'm drawing a sigworm that has hair (I thought that was a symple conclusion?)
My manga style divorces itself from typical japanesse Manga partly because 1) the only Anime I've seen is transformers (Including the movie (How could they kill Optimus Prime so early in the film?)) Likewise the only Manga I've seen are webcomics...
and lastly: I know the boady sucks, I'm working on it. I know the pic itself sucks, but it was supost to be a worm with an Uzu but I just got carried away. I know my colouring sucks! I am working on it...
one last thing: heres everyones favourette Jabba the hutt wannabe, SuperBlob:
BLASPHEMY! PURE BLASPHEMY!
I really really really don't like them, sorry man.
The head is just too wierd! And don't pull off arms unless you can!

It looks like his right arm is drawn on and the left (holding the drumstick) is his actual right arm, since it's not covered by his almost-too-little flab. Correct me if I'm wrong.

:so your argument against us is that you have virtually NO idea what anime looks like, and you're trying to attempt to do a chibi image......you fail at that.....horribly. study the drawing and coloring style used in anime and in chibis, and then come back when you've got a good grasp of the whole thing.

You're posting your art on a public forum.
Therefore, you will get criticism.
Do you want us all to be nice and compliment you on your art?
Compliments don't help artists. Criticism does.

Actually, no... i think the more evil and mean we get the less idiot people we'll have... they eventually get offended and leave... well...most of them...there're the kinds that keep on taking it and hanging around... i gotta admire those ones though... they're tough meat... :p
And it's exactly like Pigbuster said. If you want praising, go show your drawings to your parents. Around here, if it's bad, we'll sure say so (well, with "we" i was refering to decent people)...

maybe if you lot were nicer you wont have so many n00bsI point you towards www.blamethepixel.com. if the new people are retarded, they are made fun of and banned right away, and if you look at the community, it's a very nice community where everyone has respect in some form for everyone else. so no, being nice to idiots and n00bs doesn't make them less irritating.

Ahhhh...I don't see it all that strong, really. A chibi's head
(like Supsuper 'explained') is roughly the same size of their bodies. A worm... well, [I don't really know if this is a good explanation] have big heads because that is the way T17 made them. Their eyes would be a great deal shinier, and larger in width, not just height. Go look in Katy Coope's "How to draw manga" book for a nice example. I would draw one too, but I don't want to.
It really seems like I am picking on you, doesn't it? Sheesh.
Go get that book and learn, before I find more to pick on.

If we were nice to n00bs, then they'd stay longer.
