View Full Version : My chute won't open like it should.

I am sure many of you know I am not a noob so I know how to use the chute, but whenever I play normal-type games my chute does not work like it should. I select the chute, jump, and press space and it does not open usually. It works once in a while or sometimes on the 4th or 5th press if I am fast enough but not very often. It always open to prevent falls, but I have almost no control over it. You can imagine the frustration on T17 games.
The thing is, it USED to work but I cannot set a specific date/patch when it stopped since I don't T17 all that often. I even got a new keyboard to make sure it wasn't my spacebar.
WTF is up with this?
That can be due to impossible key combinations. Make sure you can for example attach a ninja rope while pressing Up, down, left, right, up-left, up-right, down-left, down-right.
I've had a keyboard which ignored space key while Up or Down keys were held.
It is highly possible that the new keyboard you bougth also has such an impossibility.

No, that it not the issue as I can do that with the rope just fine, also I just tried the chute offline and it worked perfectly! Every time I pressed space, no matter what part of the jump the chute opened. This sucks so bad.
Sweet.
Perhaps you should try scanning your computer with AdAware, Spybot S&D and NOD32/Kaspersky.
I recommend http://www.hitmanpro.nl for malware scanning.

If you had looked at the page of hitman pro 2, you would have seen that it includes all those malware scanners and more.

lol ok bonz. i'm lazy and i'm happy that way :)
I have plenty of anti-virus, adware protection.
i've noticed this aswell... could it be related to rope glitch fixes? (or am i barking up the wrong tree with this?)
I'm going to asume BIGBIRD plays either WA or WWP, Franpa, since Team17 isn't exactly a popular scheme on W2. And any rope glitches fixed by Deadcode on WA had absolutely no such effect for anyone so far. So I doubt it.
Edit: Ah yes, he did implicate he has WA in mind in his first post.
where does he say or mention which game he's using? and i still notice this in w2 and he does not talk about a cheme called team17 nor t17.

1. good point i dunno where u get WA but since it's in WA section i guess it probobly is.
2. t17=team17
1. forgot (this is in support area not armageddon area... thus i stand by my original post)
2. i know but he didnt say it was a scheme.
Yep same hapened to me in games without the rope in a team 17.. jump space, jump space, jump space drown .next worm same next worm someone said dont hit the cursor keys while you hit space and it worked.
iv been away from worms for a little while and thought it used to work when i hit the left or right cursor and space.
i tried two keyboards but havnt tried offline and cant be arsed at he mo.

Franpa, I believe those two sentences implicate it's WA quite clearly. Only Worms game that recieved so many patches an average person can't memorise the number of and has had Team17 games played online recently.
And I still think it's either a simple unresponsive-keyboard issue, processes running in the background or the combination of the two. However, yes, W2 is notorious for having a hard time registering key presses. But if it works fine offline...
i beleive you that it is armageddon he is talking about... but since i dont own the game the stuff you quoted appears pretty generic to me.
i dont own the gameYou're missing out on a lot.
