There are dozens of worms forums, so I'll post this here.

Who thinks this is a bit of a rip?

Wow.
Just, wow.

Apart form that game having quite a wierd terrain, that is basically a total rip. Another one I've seen browzing the net is a game called territory war.

They ripped of the game. I mean, a nutcracker soldier replaced old woman, and it moos! :p

Nah, a real rip-off would be compatible with wa replays. Only with different graphics (but possibly able to use the graphics from the original cd if available?).

Or am I thinking of something else?

You know, there's a bit of a difference between this and worms.
Can you guess it?

It was made in flash.

And besides, there's a difference between "Total-rip" and "using the same mechanics", you know. There are a number of differences between worms and this.

That said, that game isn't very good.

It uses all the same sound effects too, mind.

It's also crap. ;)

Yes, it is a total ripoff. Is there some kind of message board there we can bring this up on?

Yea, but the weapons are pretty much copies of worms weapons, and also look at the commentary bar at the top, and as Paul said the sound effects are taken directly from worms.

Pirates: They do say "Based on Worms" in the credits, and they also took the music and some sound effects from the old Captain Claw platformer.
In any case gameplay can't be copyrighted (though the Audio probably is) so it's fair game for anyone to use it and mess with it in their own games.

Territory War: It's similar but not that much, the gameplay has been changed a bunch.
