When I go on WormNet I am first told that the checksum 15 (?) isn't working, and then to make sure the cd is in the drive, which it is. I have a windows XP and I am fully patched up. WHat's wrong?!?!?!?!?:( :( :( :( :(

I tried to reinstall the game but I still get the same error.....
Then you're reinstalling it wrong. This particular error has always been solved by re-installing in the past. Follow the steps on the website carefully.

I went on the team 17 website and patched it to version 3.6.whatever....

I guess not....
Fort I saw the screen with all the bandges, and then I extracted the file form the worms directory. Is that all there is to it?

Remember that you can`t update the Trymedia version.
The patch is included, so no need to patch, too.

Here's what I did (After I reinstalled the game)
1) Checked my directory. Version 3.0.0
2) Clicked on the WAHELP logo
3) Clicked on run
4) Extracted to C:/team17/wormsarmageddon (something like that)
5) Clicked on "Yes to all"
6) Tried to go on WormNet. Same problem
Do I need Direct X 6.0?
No. 9.0c is what you need.

You told us that you are using WindowsXP. So you should have DirectX 9 already. (If you are patched properly.) Open a shell (Start -> run -> type 'cmd') and type in 'dxdiag' and tell us what there reads under 'DirectX-Version' at the bottom of the window.

9.0
So now what do I do
ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
4) Extracted to C:/team17/wormsarmageddon (something like that)
You have to extract the files to the directory where you installed your game to.
There are at least 2 different defaults and the one that the self-extractor has already typed in may not be the correct one for you. (Definitely not if you changed the path during install.)

I tried to do what someone told me and make compatibility for WIndows 98, but then sometimes when Im in the game it says I don't have the highest patch (which i do, 3.6.5.....) and i should download it on the team17 website
Ummm......English?
My previous post was in English.

Evilworm2 has posted a link to www.nanacide.com/wahelp in this thread before.
Have you actually followed the appropriate tutorial on how to patch correctly and/or read all the FAQs in the FAQ section?
You can get the latest DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft or many other sites on the web.

Wait just a sec......what computer specs do you have?
I mean, this could be a graphics card incompatibility problem or something of the like....he might have an intel mac, with windows on it. (You can do that with "bootcamp")
Hmm....

and i think he should answer this question:
Yes, of course, I checked the nanacide website and it said for PATCH if the version number starts with a three I don't need to patch
Update I had to do anyways.....
