I got my version of Worms 4 from an online vendor and downloaded the game online. I am not sure if what I downloaded is the US version (I am operating from the US). But when I try to run the v1.01 patch, a message simply states that Worms is not even installed on my computer...?

Also with this purchase there was the optional 'data pack' which i am not sure if it changes anything or adds anything...

I assume you downloaded it legally from TryMedia. If so, it is highly likely that, like most other TryMedia games, it is incompatible with the patch.

Your best bet is to try and get a full refund from the game and get the original DVD version, which if you buy in the USA will be prepatched.

The trymedia download version comes pre-patched, just like the Majesco US version.

I believe the optional data packs have additional FMVs and music that aren't in the download version but were part of the original boxed release.
