I have 2 PC's on a LAN together, and we can both host/join eachothers games and play just fine, but there is around a 4 second delay or so between when something happens on our screens. If it's my turn, I see the action before her, and if it's her turn, she sees it before me.

Between each turn, the game shows an icon on the top right of the screen that looks like 2 PC's with a wire between them, and a red X over the wire. Looks to me like a connection problem icon. We've tried TCP/IP and IPX. No firewalls. 2 different routers, same problem.

Worms does not require a steady flow of information. It is a turn based game. What you are experiencing is normal lag. If you were playing a game like halo this would be an issue. With worms you can play the game just fine as long as the lag isnt unbearable.

If you are connecting two computers not over the net, 4 seconds is a bit extreme but it isnt anything that is going to spoil your game really lets face it.

Hmmm... Still strange.
I often play on Wormnet with people loacted in Canada & the UK and almost never have a lag that long.
We have Teamspeak running in the background and that is usually ahead of the action ~1-2 seconds.

I think this is a problem inherent to the code of the game: strange lags, regardless where you are located on the planet.

I would die for one giving me the network code to examine.

Dead people don't examine anything.
