I can see the mouths moving but I barely hear what they are saying...downloading the patch now from team17, anyone know if this will fix this or is there something else i need to do?

You probably have got the same problem as so many of us.
You can change the sound settings to turn down the music so you should be able to hear the voices better, but it doesn't effect the center speaker.

They didn't consider people with 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 or 8.1 speakers when they made the game. The sound settings change the volume of all speakers, but the center speaker. Thus the music is always at full volume.
Unfortunately they didn't fix this in the patch. (By the way, if you do have the US version (Majesco), don't bother installing the patch, it only works with the Codemasters version)

The only way to solve this problem so far is to turn off the center speaker, or turn the volume for the center speaker down, with your soundcard-software.

The Majesco version is already patched, as it states on the Team17 website - so it will be a waste of your time downloading it. It is only for the Codemasters (European) version.

Thanks a lot moritz....i switched my settings from 5.1 surround sound speakers to just plain desktop stereo speakers and now i can finally hear all the snappy comebacks these worms come up with....it really does add depth to the game
