Hi everybody
A short story: Last night I played WA again, after not playing it since early April 2004.

And now I got the Worms bug again :)
So, after not taking part in this community for 2 years now I've quite lost track of what has been going on. (i.e. Do you still play shoppers? :P)

Anyway, I got the v3.0 off T17, but should I install the beta update as well?

Thanks. It's good to be back.

People play shoppers more than ever. And yes, you should install it, because almost everyone else on Wormnet has it installed and most of the time they won't let you play if you're not up-to-date. Plus you won't miss out on all the features (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/info-updatefeatures.php).

thats such a lie almost everygame i host atleast 1 person doesn't have the lastest update, sometimes just the original patch.

Hence the "almost"

Actually my theory on this is people are getting a free version from somewhere or maybe using the real disc but using a no cd patch from an earlier update. I can see no reason why people can't just update and it is getting annoying.

I really hope that a future beta is made to lock out all those without the update!

last 3 patches didn't really change anything in the gameplay anyway.

I don't think the patches where aimed at that anyway.

This is nothing?

--Scroll lock key to override auto-camera
--Transparent name tags with Alt + Del
--Toggling the telephone symbol on/off
--"Tools" terrain texture available
--Additional and improved German translations (by my humble self)
--Language selector for in-game & menus
--Control of worm placement holes on color maps
--Infinite turn time (counting up from zero)
--Strike weapons preserved with stockpiling options and cave/open levels

I know it wasn't but seems to me can't win. make a patch people are whinging that not much has been done when it has, some moan that they want more and more. I am grateful there is any patch.

And the patch as said has doen a hell of a lot more than nothing. XP stability increase is much better, that isn't "not much"

must say, i dont notice the increase in stabilty but meh.

We are all thankfull for the patches, but we wont be 'happy' untill we get back what was taken.. ie. ranks.
