I'm having this weird problem and have been unable to play Worms for awhile now.

When I launch the game, everything is noticeably slow, even just in the main menu. My cursor is super slow. Then, when I'm in chat, I try to type and my key presses keep repeating. Like, I would try to type "help" and it would come out like "heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllll" etc etc. When I get into a real game, my controls repeat in a similar way, thus making it impossible for me to control my characters.

I reinstalled Worms, but it didn't fix it. I have the newest patch, too. Any idea what's going on?

I could rarely play online before due to all the port issues, but now I can't even play single player. Ack!

I have a Pentium 4 3Ghz with 1 GHz RAM, Radeon x800 SE video card and Audigy 2 sound card.

Are you using a third party (ie: not the one supplied with your computer) keyboard and mouse? Try tinkering a bit with the control panel settings.

I think I've seen this issue before - search the forum (http://forum.team17.co.uk/search.php) and you may find a solution.

Actually, yes. I'm using a Saitek Eclipse keyboard. I'll search the forum for some answers.

Well, hmm. Disabling that keyboard driver fixes my problem in Worms. However, now I've lost the functionality on my keyboard to control the volume. My Saitek keyboard has volume and mute buttons on them, and they will not work if I disable that driver. I guess I can just disable the driver each time I play Worms, but that can get annoying.
