I was wondering about this, as I have tools to make my own fangame IF (and this is a big IF) the models are the correct ones. The correct ones are: .3DM and .X files.
Hoping....

the models were made in maya, but i do not know if they have been converted to some propriatary format. in any case, they are not in either of these formats, and they are bundled in xom files, so you wouldn't be able to get to them without someone who knows how to work with this kind of stuff.

the .x is the microsoft's format natively supported by directx. if the models in w4 are still in maya format, and you do manage to extract them, i think you should be able to convert them to .x

K^2 (Now banned) Managed to successfully create a viewer for w3d (.xom) and w4m (.xan) map files. I still use it today!

The link got removed, so I won't host it. I don't want to get banned!

That wasn't what he got banned for anyway.

Though, the maps are a totally different kettle of fish to the character and weapon models.

Hm, any offers for this job? :D I think it would be cool to have a W4:M fangame.
