Paint.NET is really... wonky with its fill tool, it leaves a bunch of grey pixels everywhere.
Also, I forgot to delete the roughwork layer (the one with the lines behind the finished drawing) so yeah, that's just great.

Oh indeed. It signifies how different in colour a pixel can be to the one you originally tried to fill to warrant it being filled in. The aim is to tweak it until you get it at just the right level. Fiddly? Maybe. But it does work.

Yeah, probably because more panels and a background could be fitted in. Here's the plan, I guess. I'm making further comics in colour, just to show what all the sigworms look coloured. Once I've drawn almost everyone's sigworms coloured, I'll start making them black and white again.

At first, I wanted to do the rest digitally so that almost all the characters can be coloured, but I figured "Fudge it, my scanner's fixed, I'm not wasting time in Photoshop making background-less comics". So you get this.

Make yourself an Art thread, and people will look at your stuff in there.

Also, you can crop out that white space by changing the publish options in flash: I think it's "fit to content" or something in the PNG tab.
