Another Fan Artist of the Month thing?

Yes. Because I MISS these things like crazy. But this is a serious one.
How it works...To start off I will host this months compition. People will post their art as usual...then towards the end of the month, I'll make a poll in this thread for everyone to just vote once for their favorite. The person who wins will be givin the status "Fan Artist of the Month" in there sigs or somthing. Perhaps if the mods go along with this, they can give the winner the custom status for the month.
After the person wins, they will host another thread like this one. The catch is that whoever is the host cannot enter in the compition. This will get rid of people winning...forever in a row. Like Splapp or HK would. But the host will also be able to change stuff, such as guidlines, or themes for the compitition.
This could be a chance to get rid of the crappyness of this forum, and bring in some fun. Just absolutly NO flaming allowed. If you do so, and you've entered this compo. you are automaticly disqualified. Comments are welcome for the art, as long as its around 2-3 senteces. So, as much as I would LOVE to be in this one, im hosting. So let the compition begin.

Rules: Worms or Lemmings related stuff only.
Theme: No theme. Go NUTZ! loLLLLllol!!1/.

Compitition ends : May 28 2006

Maveristeg, that's a pretty decent pic. Not sure it's worthy of fan-artist of the month, but then again neither is half the suff (or more) in this thread so far. A couple of notes about yours though, I notice the beam-saber is darkest at the source of the beam, the handle, why? Shouldn't that be it's brightrest point? Also, I notice the beamsaber apparently isn't casting any light, since all the shadows on the worm are closest to the saber. Maybe that sword isn't supposed to cast any light, but in any case it looks weird.

And a small bit of off-topic: guys if you keep up with the off-topic stuff this thread is gonna get locked, it was already trimmed, you KNOW what the next step is, especially if you start thumbing your ose at the mods. (Yes I know, compaining about off-topicness is off-topic. Oh you can cut the irony with a knife, but I had to do it.)

Not sure it's worthy of fan-artist of the month, but then again neither is half the suff (or more) in this thread so far.you'll come to learn (if we have more than one of these things) that the entries submitted for the first couple weeks are rarely anything near the winners, but the first entries are still normally quite nice and help keep the thread alive as well as allow new artists a forum in which to display their new stuff without having to create a new thread to show it off. this is especially beneficial to those not intending to post more than a pic or two until they take some time off to improve.

Back on topic. Xinox's entry is, by far, my favourite. I can't remember seeing anything that 3D done in photoshop; it looks more like you used blender or something. Very impressive! Unless someone pulls something spectacular out of the bag, then I would say we have a winner.

The *only* thing i think you could change for your next pics is that, when we're outside at daylight... you know...there's that lightsource called sun... that is placed ABOVE our heads... so you'll never have something facing upwards with such a dark tone of shade. I know that's a minor detail, but i had to point it out... :)
