I think so.
I started playing worms in 1996, but I only played online since 2001.

Of course some will argue that being "old school" required you to actually be good at the game. Perhaps rusty with the rope, but most definetley showing your "since-1995" mileage.

Anyone who owned the original Worms is "old skool" in my book. Dates are largely irrelevant. Of course, it requires that they actually liked it and didn't think Worms was rubbish until it finally became 3D.

Yeah.
It should really be "anyone that still plays the origional worms".

i would generally concider old skool to mean:

"Anyone that played one of the original worms, played the games throughout the series and still plays the game today."

or something along those lines.

hehe, that makes me old skool. :)

My definition of old school is the same as plut's except you must have started playing worms online when worms 2 came out. It also means not taking those year or longer breaks from the game, that you have played it somewhat regularly from 1995 to this day.

Yeah.
It should really be "anyone that still plays the [original] worms".
I don't see why. I bet there's hardly anyone anywhere who would rather play W1 than W:A.

And Old School person is a person that uses something that would be considered Old School. It isn't enough to simply own something that's Old School.

No, you also have to like it. But I don't think you ahve to use it regularly -- as I say, I bet there aren't more than three people on this forum who own W:A and yet still play W1 on a regular basis.

To be honest, being "old skool" isn't necessarily a good thing. You could have every Worms game and play them all every day and still be a complete idiot, and you could only have Forts and consider everything else a bit lame, and be great company. Trying to pin a definition on someone is pretty futile.

i agree, it might only be me, but i don't play worms 1 on a regual basis, i play it every little while a game or two for fun. i mean i would play it reguarly if i could online :P. Like i said i agree with him i doubt anyone plays it on a regualr basis.

Ghost']i would play it reguarly if i could online
Worms Reinforcements added modem, serial cable and LAN support.
You could use Hamachi.cc to tunnel a LAN game.
Also, there are tools to emulate modem connections around.

IIRC, someone here on the forum said that he was able to play online with the latter.
