Well this isn't drawn art, more like 3d-modelling but it's still 'art'.
So couple of days ago I didn't have anything special to do and I decided to play with Anim8or a bit. So I made this (http://koti.welho.com/khavulin/Downloads/Wormz.mpg) small video clip, so what do you think? :)

Aha, pretty good man.
But what's with that grey explosion on launch? The second green one looks much better.
Off-Topic:
There are tons of Fins on this forum (including me)! Sweet! :D

That is awesome, It looked like you put alot into it.
Seeing as you are the first that I know of to do this, I will let loose on the comstructive criticism.
It would be good if the whole chourus was heard...almost there, but not yet.
Just work on the worms a little too, other than that that is really cool!

3d-explosions are pretty hard to make, not to mention 3d-fog...
Yes, that 'grey explosion' is trying to be fog, but remember nothing's perfect.
And I made this animation in 6 hours so it's not ultra high quality.

Your animation is awesome, my 3d is horrible. What program do you use?

Well I use Anim8or (http://www.anim8or.com), it's free and pretty good (if you learn how to use it).

I doubt anyone knows.
Yeah, the models suck... anim8tor sucks double.
I have no sympathy for a anim8tor user..
The animations are okay though, but..
Man, I should really get my act together and try to animate something... It's just so damn hard to make anything look good.

Yes those worm-models are made of two subdivided cubes (body) , 6 spheres (eyes&eyebrows) and one bended cylinder (mouth)... :p
And those 3d-models are pretty low quality because this was a small animation made like this:
- Modelling took ½ hour, animating took 4 hours and adding sounds and finishing took ½ hour... or something like that.
If however I would have used more time on making models, they would have been much better. Well maybe next time.
Oh, and thanks for feedback! :D

Definately make some real mouths next time, they should look much better than a bended cylinder if you do 'em right.

Instead of making new objects for each part, try to do some actual modeling.
Anyone can build with legos.. (omg it's a metaphor!)
ROFLMAOOL!
Carry on making these or DIE! *aims shotgun*

Modeling stuff in anim8or is a pain in the ass tho. :p
Umm...
The worms coulda done with moving mouths though.

anim8or does not suck, just because it is simple doesn't make it crap, go to their gallery and u can see some amezing 3D things, just because u can't do nothing good in one program doesn't mean u have to insult it.
Anim8or is good for quick backgrounds and stuff. Other than that I'm pretty crap at 3D models.
Anyway, while the models are quite bad, everything else is quite nicely done.

I just realized that I have posted 3 times, but have not commented on the art.
Pretty much what everyone else said. Bad models, good everything else.
Hopefully you will have another day in which you have nothing special and make another one.

It sucks. It's good for learning when you're a begginer, but you can't produce any professional work with it. It lacks everything on the rendering area, and lacks a lot of modelling tools that could really speed up the modelling work.
It also lacks EVERYTHING in the animation area(which makes me wonder why it's called Anim8or).
So basically, you can make good models, but you can't make a good render or a good animation out of it.
You're better off with Blender. ;)

Nice!
Although there should've been more of an indication that the bullets hit the worm in the second animation. Try adding in very small dust rings for when they hit, to keep it cartoony.

Hey, could you give me some information on how to model the worm? If you would, Kthanx.
Pure thinking ;)
1. Create a cylinder...
2. connect highest and lowest points (to make... ee.... something like... sausage x])
3. rotate lower part about 90 degrees (to make a curved sausage :D)
4. revel further ;)
any questions? ;)

HOWE YOU MAK FACE??!
2 cylindres impressed on 'sausage'. (eyes...)
Yap - > extruded polygons.
But if you need a simple model, you can use only texture of eyes. :P
