I disagree with number 3 on that list. Though, yes, it was a collaboration, Kingdom Hearts is a great game.

7: hogs of war
NEVER, EVER, MAKE A WORMS CLONE!!!
hogs of war is not a worms clone.
it's a real-time action game with mammalia.

Ooh, ooh, plus, there have been some good film games.
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay was rather good. And though short and not very challenging, Lego Star Wars is hilarious co-op fun. And there's a few others, but I can't remember any at the moment.
And as for the one about Petz. Sure, the games might not be that good, but don't be a bloody moron. "Get a real pet"... Bloody moron, the reasons for games such as Petz (or, say Nintendogs to quote a good example), is because of the problems inherent to having pets.
And as for the Dancing Stage one, at least you're allowed to look like a bloody moron on such things. Tap-dancing to Extreme mode is always funny, just because of how bad you are at it.

hogs of war is not a worms clone.
it's a real-time action game with mammalia.Uh, no, it is turn-based.
Although personally I really like it and I don't believe it should be on such a list. The weapon specialisation and the promotions adds just enough of a different feel to Worms (worth noting that the "Specialists" WormPOT mode is still poorly implemented relative to HoW), the learning curve is nicely balanced and giving the pigs individual regional accents is a nice touch, even if most of them are stereotypes. Graphically it lacks a bit and the terrain isn't destructible, but I feel that the game deserves more credit than it gets. Apart from anything else, it was the game that convinced me that 3D Worms could work. I might have overlooked Worms 3D if I hadn't played HoW first.
EDIT: Regarding the topic, it would be difficult for me to actually list my ten least-favourite games, as my rule of thumb is "don't buy a game you don't think you'll like". Any other games I have owned that I didn't like have mainly been because I was useless at them (effing Prince of Persia and the "you die if you drop three storeys" rule...) rather than how objectively good they are. So I do not feel qualified to supply answers, let alone ten of them.
Uh, no, it is turn-based.
oops, my bad.
(maybe i should have played it at least once before making such a comment. :D)

'The Great Waldo Search' for the Mega Drive wins by a long shot! It's Where's Wally, but on yer Mega Drive... WOOOOOOOO. I managed to complete the entire game in 8 minutes...:(
Oh yes... I have that for my SNES emulator... I have no idea if it's better or worse than the Mega Drive version.
I have some other abysmal games in my collection. Never heard of these? Then you are a lucky, lucky person.
-Cool World
This game certainly doesn't make me want to see the movie. Stay away...
-Daze Before Christmas
You know that a game is going to be bad when the intro story is told in rhyme. That, and it involves both Anti-Santa and an evil snowman named Louse, just because it would rhyme with house. And "gone" doesn't rhyme with "one", you idiots!
-Dream TV
You are a young kid, in medieval world, trying to find the pieces of a map for no damn reason because a big green head in a TV said so. The gameplay is worse than the plot.
-Frantic Flea
I don't want to write a summary on this. I don't want to ever think of this game again.
-Harley's Humongous Adventure
Oh, don't remind me of this abomination... apart from the intro to our hero Harley, the "Genius, scientist, and all around cool dude", this game gave me zero entertainment. That, and the bathtub level is impossible. Oh, and it's made by the people that made the Barbie games. (Though for their merit, the Barbie games were funny. I wasn't laughing WITH it, but still...)
-Home Improvement
I think they just wanted to make a game about Tim Allen being trapped in dinosaur world. So they make a plotline about how he needs to go into different movie sets to find his lost tools, or some crap like that.
-Izzy's Quest for the Olympic Rings
I wasn't aware that the olympics ever had a mascot. Or that he was a weird blue thing named Izzy. Nor did I know that there was a terrible game based on him.
-Lester the Unlikely
When your hero is a "typical teenager: kinda geeky, kinda sleepy", wears coke bottle glasses, has the dorkiest walk ever, has the dorkiest jump ever, whose only attack is to SHOVE his enemies and who runs away SCREAMING from CRABS, you know that your game is in trouble.
-Liberty or Death
Fight wars back in the oooold America times. Okay, actually, this game is one of my favorites. Simply because of the setup menus. "Your troops' normal salary is $1320. How much do you want to pay them?" I'll pay them... two bucks. "You need 500 rations to battle for 3 days. How many rations will you allot?" Hmm... 500 sounds like a lot. I'll give them... 15... and 500 barrels of gun powder! The actual battles blow, though.
-Mo Hawk & Headphone Jack
The main characters are named Mo Hawk and Headphone Jack, they wear headphones and shades, and they collect CDs. I don't think that I need to say anything else.
-Radical Rex
"He's so rad, he's so rad, he's my real cool radical rex. RADICAL REX!"
That's all that needs to be said about Radical Rex.
-Super Troll Islands
You play as troll dolls. If that hasn't scared you away already, you throw cupcakes at enemies, which makes them fart and turn into blobs, which your troll can then eat with a "WOW!". And the victory screen is a giant smiling trolls head zooming in and away from the screen, and horrifies me every time. It's so damn CREEPY. The saving points for this game are the insanely fast red-haired troll, and the option to... get this... CHANGE THE TROLLS' HAIR DIRECTION. What the HECK!? I have NEVER seen anything as terrifically stupid as the option to change the direction the main character's hair is pointing.
-Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends
Hilarious. Especially that damn mole thing that pops up everywhere. That doesn't stop it from being bad, though.
-Bebe's Kids
I saved the best for last. This might be the worst game I've ever played. It breaks the rules of most beat-em-ups out there, and makes your character weak as hell. I can't beat the first damn enemies I see with regular attacks. And the music that consists of a bass line and "de dede de de de dede" repeating over and over was a nice touch. Other bad games are funny-bad, but this is pathetic.
There you go. Say any bad game you want, but it's probably beaten by one of these.
And I didn't list all of may games of terror, either! Yay!

no-ones mentioning sonic heroes.......which sucks :pIt took me an hour to complete Casino Park on the Chaotix mission path... I kept getting to 195 rings or something, and then I hit a badnik and lost them all and had to try and reach 200 all over again. Made me feel like Michael Vaughan...
Still, at least Sonic Heroes has a defined goal, a level of challenge and some gameplay. It therefore is better than Big Rigs on most counts.

He's not talking about the books or the movies. He's saying the computer game based thereon is appalling.
I haven't played it -- in fact I didn't know it existed -- but I expect he's right, since a complete list of good videogames based on movies looks a lot like a piece of paper with "Goldeneye" written on it.

"Unreal feeling"
indeed.
iirc, it was the first game that extensively used all the shiny & blinking special effects that 3d acceleratos cards had back then.
running over the frozen floor in the first level & seeing your reflection.
UT2003
the main disatvantages:
no assault game mode
no sniper rifle
Unreal II
i only played it a bit and thought that it was way too linear & quite boring.
the later added extended multiplayer was great though.
in some points even better than the ut2004 onslaught mode.

But I loved it, anyway, it almost feels like the 2D ones. Though my favourite Sonic game now is still Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, it will likely to change when I get Sonic Rush (DS)
A bad game? The PS2 version of Age of Empires II Age of Kings.
the problem with sonic heores was you had almost no control, the computer was always doing it for you with the camera etc....

5. Anything related in any way to george lucas.
Are you clinically insane? The Star Wars games pretty much suck, but the classic Lucasarts adventures are the best games of all time (for the uneducated, I mean the Monkey Island series of games, Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle, etc). Okay, George Lucas probably wasn't involved in the actual production of the games but they were still made by his company and he's thanked in the "Special Thanks" section of them, so yeah... they are related to george lucas.
In short - you're wrong.
As for games that suck, here's one - Zoocube.

I think a good game is a good game. You shouldn't have to read a series of novels or spend four hours watching films to enjoy it. Fair play to them if the game is better having read Harry Potter, but it shouldn't rely on it, because all that proves is that the gameplay is not good enough to support the game on its own.
I haven't played the games, though, so I'm in no position to say whether it manages this or not.

What with missing the SNES/before-hand era, I'm sure I've missed out on a lot of "gems" but I have played a fair bit of crap games.
But the only one I can remember was called something like Super Bomberman Racing. It was the only game to ever get a 1% in Play. Oh, how I laughed!
And, really, I didn't find Sonic Heroes that hard. And sure, the voice-acting was pretty crap in some areas (read: Charmy), but if you thought they were bad wait til you play Shadow The Hedgehog. Now Charmy sounds like a 5 year old with a car up his nose. And Tails' voice-actor gets more female by the game.
Diddy Kong Racing "Shudder"
worst N64 game ever.
thank god Conker's bad fur day was truly great.

TOP TWELVE WORST GAMES:
12. Shrek 2 (PS2) - Why did I buy this game?! WHY?! What a pile of rubbish it was! It was FAR TOO SHORT, NOTHING like the film, didn't have the music from the film, instead some really crappy made up music they just put in it!
11. Warioworld (GC) - Is this some kind of joke? I was expecting it to be really good but I completed it in like 2-3 hours. There's ONLY 8 levels (13 if you include the 5 ridiculously EASY bosses)! WTF?! DON'T BUY THIS!! Cost me £24.97.
10. Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius (PS2) - WTF were they playing at with this PILE OF CRAP?! Graphics SUCK, MUSIC SUCKS! Game is FAR TOO SHORT! Completed it in like 3 hours!
9. Charge 'N' Blast (DC) - This game just SUCKS! The voices were annoying as hell! I got bored of it after AN HOUR!
8. Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (PS2) - FAR TOO SHORT!
7. Evo's Space Adventures (PS1) - CRAP graphics!! SLOW characters!
6. Tomb Raider 6 (Angel of Darkness) - Only one that sucked out of the series. Can be completed in 2 days.
5. Crash Bandicoot 5 (Twinsanity) (PS2) - I am a big fan of the CB series but this one sucks the most. WAY TOO SHORT!! GOD AWFUL MUSIC!!
4. Spyro 4 Enter the Dragonfly (PS2) - I LOVE the Spyro games but I REALLY HATED this one. Only 1 world and about 8-10 levels. NEVER BUY THIS GAME!!
3. Shrek Treasure Hunt (PS1) - Is this a joke or what?! This game is REALLY JUST GOD AWFUL!! Crap graphics, VERY ANNOYING music, can be completed in 50 min - 1 hour! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME EVER!!!
2. Sonic Shuffle (DC) - I am a HUGE Sonic fan but this is the WORST Sonic game I have ever played. EXTREMELY LONG loading times. It takes about 2 minutes just to load up the Mini games. The battles suck, every time a CPU character lands on a Battle space I have to watch the boring battle scene and see them ALWAYS WIN even though the difficulty is on EASY! The CPU players KEEP ON STEALING my GOOD cards 5 & 6. The Sonic Room takes AGES to load!
AND THE WORST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED IS:
TAILS' SKY PATROL - What the HELL is Sega playing at with this piece of crap?! There's only 5 levels, the music REALLY SUCKS and the boss is just STUPID, I mean Witchcart, how stupid is that, why not have Eggman instead? The idea of throwing a Ring at an enemy to kill it is just STUPID!!

plays well, but it only has 8 levels: a real let down
LI:ES (OMG it spells 'Lies'!) is bad! I liked the first 2 games but this one sucks, especaly that my coppy is so Damn buggy!, thank god I got it with stunt rally (complicate but yet fun :D)
the Bionicle game was OK but did have it's problems but the extras are good :)

Ok, before everyone starts whinging, this is clearly a revival, but the 'top 10' will have changed, so it isnt a horribly bad one. Lets just enjoy it while it lasts :)

But I've heard such good things about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl! And metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/stalkershadowofchernobyl?q=stalker) hasn't lied to me yet.
Suppose I shouldn't hold my breath on another review by someone who actually played the game though, as the review by Chris was scheduled by April 18th 2007.

There's my #9:
James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire (GameCube)
P.S. I didn't think this topic was too out of date, and it's not too bad of a topic either...

Ben played the game. It ran badly and didn't work properly so it got a low mark. I mean, fair's fair and all, his PC wasn't top-of-the-range or anything, but it did say it would run just dandy.
There was talk of something happening with the followup review not so long ago but I forget what came of it.
Edit: there exists a draft version of Chris' review. This is dated "August", and he's yet to update the thread. I'll poke him.
In the meantime, here is an exclusive extract (pre-spellcheck and general cleanup):
Nuclear fission, and more importantly, the use of it in generating electricity is a wholly genius concept. You see, certain heavy metals are unstable enough to occasionally break, releasing very small but fast moving particles. If you get enough of one of these metals together, known as a Critical Mass, something happens. A large enough amount of those particles are absorbed by the metal causing a self-sustaining reaction of splitting atoms. As the splitting of atoms gives out heat this can be used to spin turbines and give us lots of nice electricity to play games with. Anyone who has tried this at home will discover for a very short period that these reactions tend to go quickly and not very quietly.
To harness nuclear fission in a useful, non-destructive manner nuclear reactors have very large rods known as Control Rods. These are made out of carbon fiber and are inserted into the critical mass of nuclear fuel. The rods, being unreactive to bombardment by alpha particles absorb enough of them to stop the fuel going critical. It is then, knowing this, quite clearly a fantastic idea to, almost entirely on a whim, disable the security and remove all control rods from a reactor. The result wasn't all that surprising, with the control rods removed the reaction was allowed to progress beyond safe levels. Unfortunately for those involved, 'Beyond save levels' is to the point where the heat has caused the metal surrounding the reactor to expand to such a degree that the control rods no longer fit back in the holes. At which point you very soon get a meltdown.
With radioactive materials scattered across a number of countries and hundreds dead from over exposure during the clean up operation, the reactor was buried in a large concrete box. The Sarcophagus, however, has been in a bad state for years now, with holes big enough to drive a bus through.
That bit will probably be cut anyway.

10: Rampage. nice effects, but gameplay gets old almost instantly.
9: Any of the adventure bomberman games.
8: Any of the new spyro games. only the first three were good.
7: almost any new game made by ubisoft.
6: Sims 2 for the DS. You can't even build so what's the point of calling it sims!
I'll continue my list later.
Well, I know what would be the worst game ever, if someone decided to make it, which I hope they dont: Snakes on a Plane: The Videogame
Snakes on a Plane: The Videogame
I think the movie's too old to make a videogame on it, unless it was a big project.

I've not seen the film, but it seems to me that mindless, badly-made action films would make far better games than most really good films would.

3: any disney game based on the kids films
never get disney games they are as bad as some of the films
There's a bunch of Disney games that are actually not only good, but great, specially in 16 and 32 bit consoles and in the portables. There's even some worth playing in the Playstation. I've been playing one on the GBA lately, I'm not sure if it ever came out in Europe, it has Mickey and Donald and they can change costumes to be able to use different abilities, it's an awesome plataformer.
