they're nice and all, but it's still not sprite-art, it's line-art. as I mentioned before, sprites are pixel art, which is art made by drawing each pixel in a way that it will change the appearance of the image.

heres how my siglem is currently looking, its changed slightly since how it last was...and so has my lemminngs style

im currently working on my lemmings style on paper (over in reality) , im trying to make it reflect my worms style (<-----please read this sentence before complaining that my lemmings look like worms with feet and arms)

id apreciate any constructive critisism on my lemmings style

i was in the mood for drawing so i decided to do a noooooo non-sprite pic!

Now, as i said earlier in this thread, i was going to explain my new style in more detail.
It's just, one day i was looking at a few of my latest hand drawings and i was just thinking to myself (...and this is in MY opinion, as it is MY style. and your opinion doesn't mean as much :p ) that my style, the more and more i changed it, the less and less it started to look like an actual worm. so i just thought i'd change it to something much, much more original and easier to draw. (by hand) it's about time i almost completely changed my style now anyway.
in doing this my style has in a way lost it's uniqueness. it now looks even more (i repeat: EVEN MORE!) like slick's style. i have joined the "square-topped heads" club, and that little hook shaped thingy down the back-bottom of the head has gone. the thin necks still live as long as the worm's mouth is closed.
despite the fact my style has more or less lost it's uniqueness it is now much easier and funner to draw by hand. i am hoping, like my other style it will change bit by bit and eventually gain its uniqueness.

PS: my other style shall still live on in my sprites/small drawings though, so no worries.

oh yeah, and here's the pic, which i spent bloody ages on, especialy in the shading 'n' stuff. and i am SOOOOOO happy with it!

And I wish that his coat would be fastened shut, or something. The way it is now makes it seem like he unfastened his coat to show off his HOT ABS. And it would just get in the way if he actually fought anyone with that enormous sword.

And that blue shading on the teeth looks rather bad, in my opinion.

good point, for some reason i just decided not to use the curve tool this time. i prefer the line tool anyway. IMO sometimes those "square curves" can look quite good, i like to use them on the mouth.

it WAS made entirely with the line tool, and all i did was re-use colour spaces to get the shading colours. thanks for comments btw :)

that's just my style...slick sometimes does an overbite like that to.well, we're used to your style and that's fine, but I agree with him that you went a bit overboard with that lip on this image. the pointiness just adds to your style and I like it, but this image looks like his lip was stretched unnaturally or something. if you'd stopped it just a little bit shorter it'd be fine, just as it is it looks off to me.

well, we're used to your style and that's fine, but I agree with him that you went a bit overboard with that lip on this image. the pointiness just adds to your style and I like it, but this image looks like his lip was stretched unnaturally or something. if you'd stopped it just a little bit shorter it'd be fine, just as it is it looks off to me.

i don't know why, it's probably just me, but i sometimes just like to shade the eyes and teeth in with cyan, and everything else that is white with grey...Team17 does the same thing to you know.

To be honest, the eyes aren't that bad. The teeth, however, look pretty daft.
in a way, that is sort of what the worm is trying to do. why is that a bad thing to you anyway?
If it wasn't fastened, it wouldn't hold its shape like that unless he poured starch on it.
And if I was a swordfighter, I'd keep my coat fastened so I didn't have it almost falling off all the time and tripping me up.

The other thing this picture also does quite well is ilustrate the apearance of my "new" style. Although, technicaly it isn't that "new" and infact ive used it for almost half a year it's just that until now I haven't been bothered to draw anything so no one has seen it.

This will be the sigworm i'll stick with for as long as possible.
If anyone is wondering, the reason I changed my sigworm in the first place is because my old one, although good looking, was far too hard to describe in words without providing a picture. Whereas this sigworm is simple and original and easy to say in words.

IN SUMMARY:
A worm wearing...
-A blue bandana. (No hair or anything)
-A bandoiler. (belt of bullets thing)
-A blue lense thing over right eye. (the same one all of my sigs have had)
-A robotic right hand. (although unlike Plasma's, it doesn't transform. It is simply just a replacement hand for one that was severed off)
-WEAPONS: 2 blue-bladed lightsabers that (put simply) can turn into pistols.

I just can't be bothered to write myself a profile in the Character Profile thread but there is one trait about my worm that I have planned.

And that is that there is a "rumor that Oft never actualy uses any of the bullets in his bandoiler". It's true.

There'll be more stuff like this added when I get round to making a profile if I ever do. Meh. Lazyness. :p

Yay! An update!

The worm you see below is not using any perticular expression or using any perticular emotion. This worm is merely a doodle so I could experiment with my style and see how it looked on computer (because most art I do is drawn but I have no scanner)
I don't know exactly why but I'm not very happy with how this worm turned out. Something about the shape of his head or his expression or something just doesn't seem right but I can't put my finger on it.

Anyhow, All comments and sugestions on my style are welcome.
You'll notice I try to keep a very "angular" style to my pictures. Hence why I use the line tool alot.

EDIT: Darkened the shading on the teeth.
