It is possible with the latest beta patch. Go download it somewhere.

I play with the patch 3.6.25.1a and i think thats the newest isn't it?
But it's not working.

go to your w:a install folder!
there should be the file "OfflineRopeKnocking_On.reg" after you've applied the patch!
double click it and it's added to your registry, thus enabling offline rope-knocking!

reading the "WA_Readme-3.6.25.1a_Beta.rtf" might have helped beforehand... :-/
