I have to write essays which is remarkably unenjoyable.

I have to make a bunch of UML diagrams for an assignment, and then a bunch more for another assignment. At least for my third assignment I chose to do something that will be coded in C. I hate UML so much I'd rather avoid object orientation. >_>

My dad has managed to accumulate a ~$24k USD debt across several cc's and other loans over the last couple of years. If we're lucky, then we'll get a loan from my aunt/grandpa to pay that massive debt off, and then pay that debt over the next two hundred years or so(rough exaggeration) without interest rates ****ing us over. If they say no, then we'll have to... uh... figure something out I guess. I do have a spare kidney... Luckily for us, nothing we own is on our dad's name(or even my mom's... I think it's all under my grandpa's name) so hopefully they can't take **** away from us, but I don't really know if it works that way.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it's not the first time he's done something idiotic like that. Hell, I'm just as responsible for not keeping an eye on his finances, considering he has accumulated hefty debts before, albeit not quite as hefty...

In other related news, I'll have to withdraw my $100 Double Fine Adventure pledge. Partially because I can't really afford it, but mostly because the cc associated with the amazon account is currently maxed out so the payment wouldn't go through anyway. Not that big a deal I guess, considering the scope of everything else, but I really wanted those rewards. Shame.

My only-a-year old Dell Ultrasharp monitor died on me last night. I'm guessing the power box in it fried while the panel is probably fine. The power led just blinks idly and the monitor flashes blue every couple of seconds.. even if the computer is off. I really hope my dad still has the receipt.
