I bought it at Media Play, and it's worked before.

Are you running Windows XP in a Admin account? If so, try it on a normal one. Also which version of WinXP? (home, pro)

I just tried a nonAdmin account and there's no such luck.

I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, and it worked fine. I reinstalled the beta update, and it doesn't work. I once again get booted back to the desktop. I would just not update it, but if I don't, I don't support many maps. I actually get booted out of the game, by the computer, and it says the connection's lost.

I've d/l'd and installed Deadcode's new update, and that did not help. I ran DX Diag and no problem were found. I searched through the post archives and saw many problems the same as mine. Un fortunately, none of them were resolved. I don't know why this problem has not yet been addressed. Everyone kind of shys away from it.

Iam having exactly same issue as you bro. I try play on version number 3.6.26 as soon as i try join a multi player or single it crashes to desktop but if I uninstall and just play on Version number 3.0 it works fine. Please help
