View Full Version : Worms3d.exe error
I was playing worms3d all fine till today, and now i keep getting this when i start up worms3d.exe :
-----------Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library--------------
Runtime Error!
Program: D:\Games\worms3d\bin\Worms3d.exe
abnormal program termination
I've reinstalled the game and I've done all those obvious things.
If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.
Thanx,

For a temp solution, go into the game directory
Team 17/Worms 3D/Data
Now once here, take out the FMV folder & place it on your desktop.
The game should now run, but obviously without FMV. Hope this helps.
Anybody heard any news on this being fixed? :rolleyes:

I have just installed a new copy of Worms 3D for my daughter's brand new very well spec'd PC and got the originally posted error.
I tried re-installing, but with no joy. I then tried the above suggestion and it made no difference - I still get the same error. Any other ideas please?

People are making rather silly suggestions in this thread. Remove the FMVs? SImple, yeah, but you miss out on the videos. No, the simpler solution is to update the drivers for your Graphics Card. ALl you need to do is find the manufacturer and model, then go to the website and download the necessary drivers. This may require you to reboot your computer, but once it's done you'll be able to play the game with the videos.
Honestly, why didn't people suggest this at the start of the thread? Insanity!
Edit: Er... wow. I didn't see the dates. This thread is nearly four years old! Still, updating the graphics card drivers is the simplest option.
