um... there's sopmeone that is starting to bump a lot of oooold threads by voting in them, and it's starting to get annoying(i mean, i only did it twice, but this guy has do it like 6 times now!
anyway, i was wondering if it's possible to know who was the last person to vote on a poll or something, or if anyone has a clue of who he is

How do you know that that was the same person? I have seen at least 2 people new to this forum. 5 people have joined today. (May 9, 2003). Out of 23 people who have joined in the past 3 days 9 have a non-zero post count. So why do you think it was the same person?

well, i've been here since december and this never happened, and now suddenly lots of threads are being revived, i don't think it's a coincidence
anyway, you might be right, but still it would be good to know who is making it

Happened to me a few times. Some times you don't even notice when it happens. No one notices, and everyone keeps posting as usual. Maybe you just started looking harder.

APJ: PLEASE could you disable this anoying feature where threads appear to have 'new' posts in them when someone votes in the poll.

On my 28.8K connection, it is very annoying to load up a thread that might be of some tinerst, only to find that the last post was made 3 months ago, by me!

Well, there is a way to turn it off in vb but to a certain extent i like knowing what the latest results in polls. A lot of the time polls get votes but not so many posts so while it may be a popular poll it will die out pretty quickly (one it gets a page back) if the feature is turned off.

Let's start making limited time polls...

MtlAngelus

i want to know if there's a way to know who has voted in a thread and the date he voted

You can check who voted, but i don't think you can find out when.

[edit]
you can also find out when people voted but that involves going through the database and converting each time the person voted from the number of seconds from the epoch to some sort of readable date which is slightly long and boring ;)

AMUSING. Yes, I had entirely forgot about this.

Heh.
