I'm a nerd through and through. I use *big* words, I get good grades...

I am trying to figure out if the word geek or nerd applyes to me. I can solve Partial Differential Equasions, but I have passed most of my High Scool Classes with a 61% average. (doing a little better in university classes because they are more fun) I can also find a way to comunicate with many classes of people. For example among some of the "garage band" type of people my ignorance in music (at least that is what they call it) is completly forgiven because I can explain how to make the amplifyer run better. And there actualy are girls taht like me. Unfortunatly I can not find time to build a solid relationship, and anything less is a waste of a time which I don't have. So I spend most of my time by my PC designing that new revolutionary game engine that I hope you will see or hear of in the next year or two.

Ever felt like some of the levels in the game are a bit too small? How would you like a massive online multiplayer with the worlds size of a planet. Not a small like in Populus, I mean a planet size. At the same time the amount of data is small enough for you to download over the network while waiting to connect to the server.
From very large to very small. It will be so detailed that you will be able to operate with the separate grains of sand on the shore of one of the seas of this planet sized world.
Right now the major problem is to make the grafix engine to run with the system. I allready gave up on the video cards, they just will not cut it. It will have to be software rendered, but I should be able to make it run with almost as good video quality.

If it works you will deffinatly hear about it.

Even if I don't work on the engine, I still don't have enough time. I go to the High School and University at the same time. My schedule is horible, I endup sleeping untill 2 pm on the weekends because of the sleep lost during the week days. :(

We've all learnt something a little more personal about the other and, perhaps, grown closer as a group of friends. Either that or this is the metaphorical Pub Night and we're all gotten blotto and revealed our inner-most screts and demons.

Let me guess: Use some kind of algorithm to generate the landscape as the player gets to it, but in such a way that the same landscape is always generated in the same place on the map. Then, all you have to send over the network on a multiplayer is the algorithm, because everyone's PC will generate the same, potentially infinite map.

This is an idea i had a while back anyway.

Sure, we have the odd disagreement such as who is pro/against the war and who is pro/agains roping, but i have a lot of respect for all of you.

CF3 isn't going to be over-complicated map-wise. We're going to throw in a Map Editor to allow people to create their own missions. I've been talking with my Code Guy, who says that in theory it shouldn't be too disimilar to the WWP Mission Editor, only it will have an Intregrated Test Mode, meaning you can test the map out before you save it into the game.

Random Map generation was discussed but abandoned. We were considering using Random Map generation for the last few levels, making each time you play different. As I said it's been thrown out of the window.

I'll have a chat with Scott The Code Guy and see if he's still alive. Haven't heard from him in a while, actually. But anyway, any of you guys who might want to design maps to go into the final game will be front of the line as far as I'm concerned.

Pretty much the same for me, except I tend to stay indoors a lot, so not much messing about with friends, I'm rather neutral on the subject of having a Girlfriend, But I am a little lonely. I need a Cat or something. I've thought I'm more in touch with my femenine side than others for a while as well

It's a known psychological fact that women are attracted to men who they can aspire to change. It gives them purpose, it's part of the whole "motherhood" thing as well, women are not happy unless they are constantly helping someone else become a "better" person. I think that somewhere in the natural selection process, this quality ensured that mothers were able to bring their children up in such a way that they had a better chance of survival. However, this is also why whenever you meet a complete meathead asshole, you can guarantee that he has a wonderfully attractive girlfriend, and the fact that he treats her worse than he used to treat his punchbag before he discovered steriods seems to make her like him even more. By the same logic, you can also argue that the reason a lot of the people on this forum are unattractive to women as there is nothing major they can see that needs changing about us. Women look at us and see that we would treat them with the utmost respect, never do anything wrong by them, and be absolutely faithful and trustable, and would give them nothing but happiness, and this bores them.

To conclude - the reason we can not get girlfriends easily, my forum buddies, is that we are too perfect.

Mentally I'm a wreck. There is so much wrong with me, so many things that have happened to me in my life. Buying WWP is directly responsible for 2 major injuries in my life (no joke - read the note at the bottom of this post). I spend all my time online talking to people about anything because I fear people in real life.

Tell me this; If you had a girlfriend, would you hit her? Would you sleep with other women behind her back? Would you ignore her when she needed you? I know you wouldn't. How do i know this? The lack of a girlfriend makes you realise how special they are when you actually get one. Of course you are going to treat her properly because she means more to you than she would to the kind of guy who can easily dump her when he's bored and choose from a harim of other women.

Your family is there as well. Sure, you fight with your little sister, but you even said yourself in another thread that you were quite close when it comes down to it. Also keep in mind that your parents are genetically programmed to love you whatever happens, whether you (or even they) believe it or not. If your mother ever hears that something bad has happened to you, no matter how trivial, i can guarantee that she skips a beat.

Now for girls... I have a good social relation and as far as I can see, some girls like me.. Sometimes i reach this conclusion by small facts, sometimes big... The way they act.... Can explain everything. But there are many guys in my class that simply don't get anything, I think that's cause I'm more open to them(girls). In my school, it's like "Think twice before saying. Perfect!? The only thing about me that's perfect is when I leave the room - the Perfect Exit. Phsycially I'm equal to a 6ft 4" toothbrush with the upper body strength of a Twinkie, I have a face a mother would love to slap, I have bags under my eyes that could be used to carry my shopping home, and the only good thing about my is that eventually I will leave the room.

Mentally I'm a wreck. There is so much wrong with me, so many things that have happened to me in my life. Buying WWP is directly responsible for 2 major injuries in my life (no joke - read the note at the bottom of this post). I liked this one girl from Grade 6 to present day (I'm almost through grade 9 now) and she's known since day 1 of it. We've been mostly up and down since then, and right now, we've decided to be friends for now, and we're relatively good friends. I'm going to wait until sometime during high school, but, I'm not sure if I can hold my emotions until then. She's incredibly beautiful to my eyes, and she's nice, and smart too. Plus, she can stand some of my insanity:D I haven't really shown her worms... I'm not sure if I should even mention it.... but I really want to talk to her. Trouble is, It feels extremely ackward talking to her since we became friends. I'm not sure what to do, do you guys(and girls) know anything I could do?

Yeah, but at 21 looks are far less important and you are older enough to do other impressive things. I for one owned an MR2 at 21... it changed my life forever. Never had much long-lasting success until that age though and I'm sort of glad about it now that I think about it. Going through the UK Rave scene would have been so bad with a 'Doris' on me arm.

Yeah good advice... I have loved her since Day 1 of secondary school. She had only ever loved me between these dates. 4th of May and the 6th. I think she likes me again thought seeing as her friend had said that she said that she fancied me also she dumped her latest boy-friend.

I am nice to her considering what she said. I just replied "Thanks for that". I think she saw I was upset. Also when she was ill I asked if she was ok and said that im glad she's ok. Eversince she's been nicer to me.:D
