Do you know if the mac version is coming to steam or is it just staying on the app store?

You should make the mac version available on Steam too.

Nice to see the decision to not release this on Mac has been overturned! Shame it won't run on my Mac though :(

Hi,

I just purchased Worms Revolution for Mac tonight through the Apple App Store.

I am unable to play the game. When I attempt to launch the game, the icon loads in the dock and a window appears. It looks like it attempts to enter full-screen mode and then I am presented with the crash dialog.

I am a fan of Worms (and a Software Engineer myself) I would like to see this issue resolved, so rather than just complain, I would like to work with your team to get the game functional.

I have already tried reinstalling the game after deleting the application and it's related plist files from the Library / App Settings. I also tried this with 10.8.3 and also after installing 10.8.4.

I am attaching a copy of the crash reporter dump as a text file.

Hi Stilgar,

Thank you providing us with the crash report. After one of our coders investigated the report they say it seems that there may be some issue with one of the input/usb device you have connected to your iMac.

Would you be able to provide us with more information about the devices you have connected when you get the crash? Please email these to support@team17.com who will be able to assist you further with this matter.

It may also be worth removing any unconventional devices (or possibly just trying to run the game with only standard keyboard/mouse initially) to see if that fixes the problem. If it does, would be great if you could confirm that to us via support@team17.com as well. Our code team are investigating the issue further over here while we hear back from you.

Thanks

I have responded via email two times to the support email, but I will report my findings here for the benefit of anyone else who may be having issues.

It appears that the USB device causing my problems is the Logitech Unifying Receiver which is required for my Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard and my Logitech M705 wireless mouse.

I dug my Apple mouse and keyboard out of the basement and the game successfully launches with the Apple Magic Mouse and Bluetooth keyboard.

This is kind of a show stopper for me because I hate the Apple mouse and keyboard which is why I replaced them with Logitech units ;)

Sitting tight until the issue is resolved.
