I've started playing the PS3 version online recently, and I'm surprised by something. A lot of my custom worm names are blocked out with ****'s.. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume this is naughty word filtering. REALLY? And it's crazy sensitive too, blocking words that aren't even remotely sweary. There's no sweary filtering on the PC version whatsoever.. Can we get a PS3 patch to at least have the option to turn OFF the name filtering for online games?

I've also noticed the PC version allows you to stack most costume elements too. This isn't an option either for the PS3 version.. WHY???!? These blocks and limitations seem arbitrary and totally unnecessary. Especially considering there are no blocks or limits on the PC version.

Can we please get them patched in as at least an OPTION?

It happens in a lot of online games - they are censoring naughty words from multiple languages, some of which can be really surprising: "input ain't connected" contains two such words. Would be nice if you could turn it off though. Ha, I didn't ever think I'd be suggesting "Parental Controls" for a Worms game!

Oh totally agreed.. I never expected name filtering especially considering it's NOT THERE in the PC version at all.

The only reason I could think of for putting in filtering on the console versions, is they could be aiming for particular ESRB/PEGI ratings, and have to throw in certain filters to hit them.

If you ask me, go ahead a leave the settings as they are for a DEFAULT. But for those of us who are older gamers and WANT those limitations turned off, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE at least make it an option in the settings. I personally get quite a giggle out of some of the Worm names people come up with. And it totally ruins half the fun, when you see a worm named "***** ****".
