Hello guys,

Is there support for using a control pad at all? Me and my house play worms all the time on the xbox but as ive just discovered this little beauty is still live and kicking id much rather be playing this but passing a keybaord and mouse around could be a pain lol.

Many thanks

Will.

There is currently no built-in support, however you can use a program such as JoyToKey or AutoHotKey to map gamepad buttons to the mouse and keyboard.

I've written an AutoHotKey script for W:A a long time ago. Here it is:

Unless your gamepad has tons of buttons (way more then Xbox or PS ones), so you can bind the F keys to them, I dont recommend playing worms using a gamepad...
I used to play WA on the PSOne, and it was annoying as hell compared to the PC version...specially for roping...

well I once tried roping on PSP. it feels a bit unusual: you are like you know how to do it well, but you often fail due to this unusual environment.
physics are identical BTW

I use an Xbox s-type controller.

I use the XBMC xbox controller driver.

I use Xpadder instead of joy2key. it has a lot more options/settings.

I use a wormkit module called WKFkeyrearange to reorganize my fkey weapons to fit on my controller.

I assign as follows:
R trigger - F8
L trigger - fkey for tool types
left joystick - up = page up, down = page down, left = esc, right = right click
right joystick - mouse, press for left click
A - enter
B - backspace
X - space
Y - shift, tab, home, Tkey
black - fkey for nade types
white - fkey for zooka types
start - fkey for gun types
back - fkey for punch types

Xbox 360 controllers can use a little keyboard attachment, I always wanted to try that out for the fkeys and typing.

weird I just had a go with that and I can't seem to work out what does what haha. My worm can walk right but not left, and I cant seem to figure out how to fire as x,y,a,b, do nothing. I think I've done it right, started up joytokey and put your config file in its folder, it found by default when it loaded up..then I just started worms?

Well I've made my own config file now. Only thing is, can you make it so a button can do more than one thing? Joytokey has three options for each button but only one ever seems to work. I was trying to make it so setting the fuse for a grenade and such can be done on one button, right now it's spread over 5 haha.

xpadder will let you asign as many keys to a button as you want and can do times combos as well. its alot better than joy2key

Got xpadder, I've done the 1-5 second on one button, but one thing I can't seem to do which would be nice is...

One worms on the xbox 360, the a button is fire (space), however if you have the weapon selection menu open, a selects a weapon too.

Is there any way to do that? I'm sort of guessing not..
