Since winning streak achievements are so much dependable about other players' performance against you, which for they are probably the most difficult to obtain (at least if we forget 28 Worms Later, which is still a mystery for me), so I thought it would be fun to tell others how far you got, before it ended. And of course if you obtain the 50 win streak achievement, tell us so we can envy you!

I told in other thread that I would feel like champion, if I win even ten games in a row, but for my surprise I got it and got the achievement, but after 12 games I lost it. Well, somehow better than losing after 48 games or so. :D

With the influx of new players at the moment, Im at 14 and counting, so now might be a good time to go for the big 50, before the newer players smarten up, lol

Just came with a theory that you don't need one straight win streak to get the Win Streak achievements.

When I was playing against online AI couple days ago, I got 15 WS ach after four matches. I was wondering why that was, but thought that I had just missed something. Then came the save issue which caused me to lose some stuff and achievements (see Bugs subforum for more info) and when I played against players today, I won four matches in a row and got the 15 WS ach again and now I was sure I had lost just before those four games both offline and online. Why after four? Because in my post above I said I had had 12 games before losing, but actually it was 11 games and the last one ended to opponent's surrender and wasn't sure if that counted as win or not, but now it seems that it doesn't. That means 11 games before and 4 games today totals 15.

And this leads to a conclusion that losing is not that bad, since you can have multiple (smaller) win streaks and the game just totals them in the end. Am I right? And if I'm right, does the counter start after 2, 3 or 4 straight win? That I do not know... yet. ;)

Alternative conclusion is that even if it worked this way, it shouldn't do so, which would make it a bug. :D

Now noticed the 30, 40 and 50 win streak achievements has gone to zero after I lost... after 29(!) games mostly against real players, so my theory doesn't hold water.

But that still doesn't explain that 15 win streak ach, which I got only after few games since previous losing.. :D

I've lined up 50 of them yesterday :) Need a lot of money and nerves, at 48 almost got lose.

I didn't even get a 3 win streak. Already the second match I was set in had two of my worms near a cliff which got killed instantly.

Pointless achievement as I'm probably going to end up making a deal with a friend in order to obtain it, it's simply because of the luck you have to rely on.

Woohoo!! 2 days later and I got 52 in a row!! then lost to a level 1 after having 2 worms on the edge, and then not escaping from a cluster I planted in the last 3 seconds of the match, due to the new physics, lol, oh the shame!! (but got to get rid of that incredible sulk task at least)

^ Too bad those Bilbo Braggins and Incredible Sulk tasks are coming back every now and then. :/

I have thought about that friend deal too, but it would be too easy. Maybe if I got some requests to do the same, I could consider it, but not wanting to do it yet.

Right now I'm thinking about good strategies considering the money I have to spend to weapons and reinforcements, but not come with good solution (haven't really tried for couple days). Maybe I will try to win like 20 games playing my normal way and after that using heavy fire with the last 30. Or maybe not, you'll never know. :D

Well don't wait too long Sipuncula, I've just been battling randoms, and a lot of them are new atm (below lvl 9) so they don't take the obvious kill shots, eg. blasting worms into the water, but now I've showed them how its done you might not have such luck, lol

And yea, using heavy fire in the last 30 seconds helps as well, as from memory the high impact weapons dont unlock for them

Trying to get this task is also a great way to earn the other achievements as well, such as knocking 100 worms into the water etc.

I reckon give it a go and good luck to you, you may be surprised by how well you do :)

Also, as for the coins you spend on weapons, the achievement prizes are very generous, and would probably cover the cost

Well, this is what happened, but yesterday I won six games in a row (when I had lost a battle before those six) and after that went to check the achs and noticed that 30 WS ach was at 86 % and 50 WS ach was at 52 %, which basically means that the game suggests I had won 26 games straight, but that just isn't the truth.

And since I've got the 20 WS ach already, this suggests me that the counter wouldn't start from the zero wins, but from the previous WS ach, which would make this thing much easier. Just don't know if it's on purpose or a bug. :D ElBobbo, speak to us!

Well, now "all" I had to do was to win 30 matches and that I just did and got the 50 WS ach. Yippee! About half of the opponents were AI's, but then again I beat many high level players too and even one higher than me. Even though if I was right about my suggest, I must say to you that the last seven games or so was really killing me and I was so nervous of losing, but finally came through as winner, though it was a close call couple of times.

Now I can play with much more calm. :D

Wow, today I played a match against a friend and I was winning, killed all his worms and then my winningstreak dropped from 19 to 0 again while I won! This is a very weird bug and I realy am suprised this is happening!

Nice find guys. The coders have already fixed it and it will be in the game as soon as QA approves the fix.

I just started a match, had a streak of 27, the game didn't start and it's back on 0 again. Not my lucky achievement I geuss.

And I just got one for winning 30 in a row, but as far as I can remember I lost several battles in last few days, so guess its not fixed?

I got how the winning streak thing works now! For example, you have the 30 winstreak achievement and you lose. The score will be setted to 0. And when you win next game, it claims you have a 30 winningstreak already! So basicly all the achievements are like "restpoints"

No, because all achievements are ''restpoints'' so it will be resteted to 40 every time, you basicly just need 10 wins!

Dear team17, I played against a friend today and told him I was on 39 winstreak. So he in the half of the match when I was heavily leading, he placed his worms near the edge. So I was very happy about getting the 40 winstreak ach, but geuss what It's gone back to 0 today while I won! This is very weird and annoying please fix this too!

No, because all achievements are ''restpoints'' so it will be resteted to 40 every time, you basicly just need 10 wins!

I just had "rift in spacetime continuum" thing in the middle of winning random online game that reseted my way to 50 streak to 0%... Now imagine someone fought real 49 streak and get all that reseted cause of some bug... :-/
