I posted this in another thread but that thread is gone.

-Super banaan - Gaan met die banaan!
-Ming Vaas - Blaas iedereen op tijdens een antieke uitverkoop.
-Leger des Twijfels - Laat je liefdadigheid aan je vijand zien.
-Zelfmoordaanval - Ik heb een worm en ben niet bang hem te gebruiken!
-Mijnenregen - Iemand niet-geëxplodeerde munitie?
-Tapijt Bom - Verwijder die vervelende vlek.
-Franse Schaap Aanval - Het Wollige Wonder Wapen.
-Balk Startpak - Een spoedcursus architectuur.
-Patsy's Magische Kogel - Het is toch geen complot...
-MB Bom - De begeerde MB Bom.
-Luchtpost - Het ultieme wapen voor de ontevreden post bezorger.
-Bevriezen - Gletsjer in een doos.
-Aardbeving - Het is allemaal jouw fout.
-Armageddon - En de zachtmoedige zullen erven... helemaal niks.
-Indische Kernproef - Het is een knaller in de woestijn van Rajasthan.
-Betonnen Ezel - Hij die de laatste ie-ah heeft.
-Gerechtigheid - Koning Salomo zou trots zijn.
-Selecteer worm - Iene, miene, mutte, tien pond grutten...

All are literally translated, some I even mangaged to keep the joke.
For example; with Indian Nuclear Test it says knaller which both
means explosion but also hit as in popular.

The only one I can't translate is the super banana. So I thought of another joke.

-Super Banana - Your produce alone has been worth the trip!

The worms are moved randomly - Willekeurige worm selectie
(it's not a literally translate, it means random worm selection)

-Prod is duwtje which means little push, it should be: Por
-Handgun is geweer which means rifle, it should be: Pistool
-Sheep is schapen which means several sheep it should be: Schaap

Hey Dora,

Those are very accurate translations that you did! I'm not sure about the descriptions for the Earthquake and Armageddon. Maybe I'm missing a reference, but I think you could get away with a wittier joke for those two. The description for Select Worm is really clever, I would change it to just "Iene, miene, mutte..." but that's just personal preference.

About Prod: Even though "Por" is a better literal translation than "Duwtje", Duwtje is historically one of the most iconic and humiliating weapons in the game. In fact, "Duwtje" just adds to the humiliation by describing that all you need to drown your enemy's worm is "a little push". I am not a fan of having it changed.

Both Pistol and Sheep can be changed with the translations you did, though.

I'm also in favor of keeping "Duwtje", since your suggestion: "Por" is not really a word that is used here in Belgium.

Movie "K-PAX", with Kevin Spacey. I've searched that scene in Italian, and they translate it litteraly. So I kept it.

Those super weapon descriptions were made later, right? With that v2 scheme file format? Because K-PAX is from 2001 and W:A from 1999

Yep. Super weapon jokes were invented mostly by Deadcode, indeed as you say when superweapons first became editable ingame.

Armageddon and earthquake are literally translated, maybe I should think of something better. I thought of some earthquake puns:

Aardbeving: Laat je vijand beven.
Aardbeving: Als dit ze niet wakker schud...

Armageddon, hmmm, I thought of this, but I don't like it:

Armageddon: het zou gaan regenen.

I'm also in favor of keeping "Duwtje", since your suggestion: "Por" is not really a word that is used here in Belgium.

Hello. Duwtje is not even that bad, so it could be kept.

I made these translations and just wanted them to put here. Because then I get closure :p. On a second thought, I'm keeping this into a word document which also has suggestions may there ever be a Worms mod.

I thought you could translate the game yourself, but I'm not sure how.

If somebody knows funnier ones feel free to tell them!

Hello everyone!

I found out how I can edit it. Here it is. :D Thanks Cybershadow and Deadcode!

I did change duwtje to por, but you can change that to duwtje again easily. I also thought of some other ones like:

Armageddon - We gaan de dinosauriërs achterna...
Ming Vaas - Paniek door antiek!

I see that you can also edit commentary, I'm going to test if I can add commentary.

Go to Worms Armageddon/DATA/user/languages/3.7.0.0 and replace Dutch with this file.

you can add new commentaries, as many as you want. They are inside groups who have "_COMMENTS" at the end and are indented a bit

:D I'm going to have fun with that. Thanks for telling me, I appreciate that!

EDIT: Dutch translation in attachment, here prod is called duwtje. It also has several commentaries added.

EDIT2: Updated with utility descriptions and more.
