Hello, fellow worms!
This is my first post, and I have to say, I've been enjoying the game so far.
But then I decided to head on to wormnet and try to play with other people, but I couldn't connect to any server/game or even see a server/game.
I am aware that you've been dealing with this quite a lot, so I'll just briefly go over what's been going on;

Purchased the game (disc form) second-hand from a shop,:D
Installed the game onto my 4Gig memory stick,
Updated the game to newest version,
Got the new-ish server browser,
Went onto the lobby and....
Connection error.:-/

I've been trying to use multiple proxy servers with no success,
I think the problem might have something to do with my firewall, though.
I'll just say now that my machine is a low-end laptop, but it's capable of running the game smoothly with no lag.
Any suggestions welcome.;)

Got the new-ish server browser,

What server browser? Have you perhaps attempted to install the updated WWP server list file over W:A's?

Try again, but don't attempt any modifications after installing 3.7.0.0.

If that doesn't work or doesn't apply:

What do you see when you open http://wormnet1.team17.com/ in your web browser?

What do you see when you run the command telnet wormnet1.team17.com 6667 from a command prompt?

I see WormNET1

I've reinstalled Worms Armageddon, but still can't get wormnet.
Do I have to patch the game (I haven't the first time round)?
Also, I'm using a Sold Out Software disc.

Checked command prompt:

Connecting to wormnet1.team17.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 6667: Connect failed

That's it.

Your firewall / antivirus / network configuration is blocking IRC connections. You need to resolve this problem in order to be able to connect to WormNET.

Just a little sidenote here, I find the title quite misleading.

You actually didn't even had the chance yet to play the "real" multiplayer so you can't judge it as "buggy".
And calling something buggy means for me that it contains multiple bugs but in your case you just have one "bug"/problem.

Not to mention that the "bugginess" in this case seems to rely on your system configuration and not the game/patch.
