Hello everybody, I've purchased this absolute classic via the Worms Revolution Steam pre-order and it has given me loads of fun and laughter so far. There are just a few things that I don't really understand and I can't find anything about that in the FAQs etc., so I was wondering if the people here could help me.

I have been playing this game with a friend (also Steam WR pre-ordered) and I have been trying to create a game setup that would give ALL possible weapons and tools eventually. The "advanced" setup for example has a few "select worm"-items but misses a lot of weapons. The "blast zone" setup has almost everything, but misses the "select worm"-item. I tried to edit that setup, but as soon as I go into the setup edit screen (where you can select how many chests spawn etc.), everything thats specific to "blast zone" is gone, like all the great weapons.

When I want to create a custom setup a lot of the "blast zone" weapons are missing and I cannot edit items at all iirc. So I was wondering, is there any way to really create a "maximum possibilities" setup?

Also, I was wondering what's up with the sudden death timer. I always put it to 5 minutes, but sometimes sudden death only comes after 8 minutes, or 10, or 12, etc., it seems more or less random and I don't understand it.

And on top of it, I was curious why only the team that's added first has its chosen language. For example, I use the soulman voice and a friend uses the russian voice. When I add my team first, we both hear my soulman, but the russian of his worms does not exist, he has the default voice. When I add his team first, we all hear his russians, but my team has the default voice. I wonder if there can be done anything to fix that.

That's it for now, maybe someone can help me with those things. Thanks for keeping this game up to date, it is one of those wonderful things that are easy to get into, hard to master and give you immediate fun. I just wish more people would play it.

I have been trying to create a game setup that would give ALL possible weapons and tools eventually.
To unlock all weapons to be set within built-in scheme editor, complete the full deathmatch including Elite. To unlock all special options in game settings, complete all the campaign missions and special trainings.
As an alternative, there's software such as SchemeEddy (http://worms2d.info/SchemeEddy) to edit schemes and TeamED (http://worms2d.info/TeamED) to edit teams and unlock the game completion (I still prefer to complete the game normally).

And on top of it, I was curious why only the team that's added first has its chosen language. For example, I use the soulman voice and a friend uses the russian voice. this was fixed in update 3.7.0.0 (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=61023) but this update has not passed to Steam yet, and is unlikely to be aired anytime soon, however once the game is back on sale this will happen for sure

Also, I was wondering what's up with the sudden death timer. I always put it to 5 minutes, but sometimes sudden death only comes after 8 minutes, or 10, or 12, etc., it seems more or less random and I don't understand it.
The probability of Sudden Death arriving after the timer has reached zero is 50% on each next turn start (as far as I know)

Actually just getting elite in deathmatch I believe will unlock god mode (invincible worms), to unlock full wormage you will in addition need to get gold in all trainings and complete every mission.

probably. at my time the Deathmatch was the last remaining task for me

Thank you for your answers. I am elite in deathmatch, but I have not done much else in the game. I tried the missions, but they are very tough for my taste, I am happy when I finish one, can't even think of getting it on gold. I'll look into it though =).

The sudden death runs off of worming time, not actual real life time. For example, a player uses 13 seconds to do his turn, then the game takes 30 seconds to show all the worm grave animations for everyone he killed, then the game lags for 30 more seconds, and the next player uses his full 10 second hotseat time before moving. In real life almost 2 minutes have passed, but the sudden death clock has only gone down by 13 seconds. In the 'hysteria' scheme (which has 1 second turns) this is most apparent -- sudden death is set for 10 seconds (I think), but sudden death takes probably 45 minutes to occur.

Thanks for the timer explanation, I was thinking it could be something like that, but I never really timed it. Gonna pay attention to it next time.

PS: is it normal that I cannot edit my profile and a moderator has to manually activate each of my postings first?

Until you have 5 approved posts, yes.

I understand. I just toyed around with SchemeEddy a bit, what a great program. This will bring even more fun onto the battlefield =). Some items like the nulcear test or armageddon are really insane, I don't think it makes any sense to actually use them when you want your game to last longer than 3 turns :D.

You don't need to get gold in the missions (but you do have to finish them); you DO have to get gold in the trainings.

If you make the Match Timer visible you can more easily see when Sudden Death will occur. It occurs at the end of the current turn cycle when that timer hits 00:00 afaik.

Yes I know that by now, the problem was that we play blast zone all the time and as soon as you go into the map setup where you can change that timer thingy, the blast zone weapons etc. are all gone, so I couldn't change the timer. Now that I was able to make my own setup with SchemeEddy, I have activated it, but I don't know if it's even good to know when sudden death is about to come =). Gonna need to discuss that with my opponent.
