Unlike a few other Worms forum writers, I really enjoy the new additions to the game and am thankful for the Thanksgiving themed items...
However, for this new build, I am unable to get into a single match without a constant dragging of the game speed; it lags incredibly too badly for me. It lags so much that I doubt I'll continue to use all of my reinforcements...
The computer I'm using to play Worms is a very nice one also(very up-to-date). I will collect my gifts and regift and stock up on Thanksgiving weapons while i still can, but I doubt I will continue to try and find matches with the lag as bad as it is...

yep, i have the same sometimes, thought it was only me.
the game improved a lot on the outside but the speed got decreased in the inside :(

Since the update, I am experiencing latency issues but only in battle as mentioned by another user above.. i am having to surrender matches just so i can return to the home page..

It is occurring every second or third battle that I enter.. which is quite frustrating. Is there any word on a fix going in for this?

Yep, surrender is the only way to finish the match, unfortunately. You lose worms, weapons and coin/xp bonuses.

The game seems to be a lot better today...
