Hej, I'm new on forum, but not in 'worms world'. I decided to register here with hopes you can help me with slove my problem...
I used an old CRT monitor and everything worked ok, but I bought a new one - Dell U2412M. And now I can't play. When I open the game, it seems to work, I mean you can hear tune in game, you can hear sound while moving the mouse over the buttoms, but you see only black screen with text (it looks like working game, but hiden under black screen): "The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1920x1200 @60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications."
I don't know what to do, I tried to use wkForceFrontendResolution, or reinstall game but nothing works. I know that this monitor use 16x10 resolution, which isn't standard, maybe that's the problem? But how can I solve it? I use windows XP.

PS, what's interesting, I can open replays from my PC or downloaded from TUS for example, and it seems to work ok! Without screen lags or any deformations. But when I try to join net game using wormNET snooper it's still black screen.

It looks like Windows thinks your monitor supports refresh rates it doesn't actually support. Have you installed the drivers for your monitor?

I think I have. I installed some drivers given to monitor with CD, and I tried to download some drivers from internet. Nothing works or I do something wrong... Anyway isn't that strange? When you change monitor from 4:3 resolution to 16:9 you can still see scene, but deformed (I checked), here I can't.

I installed windowed mode from Steps, it works but I can't minimize game then and get horibble lags... Can anobody help me solve this problem? :(

the game can be minimized by Win+D
as about lags, this depends on your system and maybe video card. only a small amount of people report lags.
all of this can easily be fixed by installing project x.
or waiting for next update.

The pre-game menus are locked to 640x480, a 4:3 resolution. The resolution setting affects the resolution that is used when actually playing the game (During gameplay).

The problem is solved thanks to Steps. I had to install PX project and windowedmode :)
