It suddenly occurred to me that the Team Fortress 2 wiki had a buttload of totally convenient high-quality .wav files all over the place already, so I turned some into a soundbank (https://www.dropbox.com/s/xm7tcd77x8x8bo2/HeavyWeaponsWorms.zip). It's pretty neat if you want your worms to sound like giant Russians instead of worms. This might even have been made before! But I made it anyway. It was easy.

I might make a Sniper one, but it still takes a little while even despite how easy it was, so I probably won't be personally making one for every class or whatever. I do still want to record one with my own voice again, since it's been... like nearly ten years probably since my first self soundbank, but the headset jacks on my computer tower here seem embarassingly dead, and I don't really have any recording software to speak of, so I dunno when I'm gonna get around to that.

Go hurt tiny baby worms.

Now I kinda want a Wheatley one. :p

Hmm, problem is I did have to improvise a bit on the oofs and ows because damage-taking vocal responses are strangely absent from the wiki. I guess in the case of the Sniper it might be sorta funny to just make them all insults, but eh.

If you own TF2 you can extract sounds by yourself using GCFScape (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26). All of the voice responses are in "team fortress 2 content.gcf", in the sound/vo folder. Don't forget to turn on "Volatile Access" in the settings if you want to be able to extract stuff while Steam is running.

Already made a Soldier soundbank a while ago, along with my extremely obscene Microsoft Sam soundbank, never released those though. Don't really want to hijack this thread though so if anyone wants them just send me a PM I guess.

The Sniper has heaps of good lines for Worms:

This'd be a good match for LAUGH.WAV:
Click (http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/3/3e/Sniper_laughevil01.wav)

And for ILLGETYOU.WAV:
This one (http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/b/b2/Sniper_taunts19.wav)

BORING.WAV:
Here (http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/4/47/Sniper_specialcompleted16.wav)

REVENGE.WAV:
Just for kicks (http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/f/f9/Sniper_DominationScout05.wav)

And one for the road, STUPID.WAV:
Boop (http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/2/2d/Sniper_revenge18.wav)

That'd save me the trouble of making it. :p

Haha, I'm not personally a fan of how it's sped up, but I guess it does sound more Wormy that way. :p

Those soundbanks should already have existed for a long time... I downloaded a "TF2 soldier" speechbank right in 2007 when TF2 was all new - from blamethepixel if I remember correctly?

Tho thanks for taking the effort I guess :p
