I fired the shotgun once to kill a worm, then tried to get into position to fire at another worm, but it was a no-go.. when I clicked on the walk button, it just cocked the shotgun and put it right back into the worms hands and I tried walking but that just fired the shotgun again... and another time I wanted to walk in between shots, the walk button wasn't even visible, the panel had the weapons box and the shotgun in the square next to it, so then I clicked the weapons box to see if I could fix it that way but the shotgun stayed.. so I have been unable to move between shots...

lol, happened to me just now, but managed to move worm at the end by clicking and holding walk button, while moving with arrow keys O.o
