Id' rather not use HostingBuddy or WormNAT.
I've read http://worms2d.info/Hosting_Guide and no dice.
WormKit doesnt work on steam, so does WormNAT even work on WormKitDS?

In any case..

Using DD-WRT.

Ports are forwarded, I have upnp enabled anyway so forwarded ports shouldnt matter.

Looking at my logs I see other applications forwarding fine (bittorrent, skype, etc), but no steam or WA.

WA has cetainly always been special when hosting.. but I figure if other applications arent having issues and required no additional configuration to get working, what is WA lacking to be able to be able to host a game?

If it matters I can start a game, and see my game get listed, but I guess no one is able to join it.

Thanks.

Hey, Seph.

When you host a game, minimise and see what this site has to tell you if you ask it to connect to you on port 17011 (TCP): http://canyouseeme.org/

Also obviously make sure the game is configured to use port 17011 in its network settings; that's the default, but you could have changed it for whatever reason.

Heyhey, KRD, long time.

Yeah, I dont think my setup allows ports to be checked. I've tried known open ports on my PC (even 80), and nothing is seen as open.

Yeah, so, the crappy ISP router was locked down and also trying to NAT, so I just passed all traffic to my router and everything started working.

I would have figured the ISP would configure their router to interfere (and also use a un/pw to change stuff), but I was wrong on both counts. Guess I should look at getting rid of the ISP router.

Thanks.

I hate routers. :(

Glad you got it working, though. See ye on WormNet?

I hate routers. :(

I've never used any type of connection besides wall -> modem -> computer. I route my connection through my PC via Internet Connection Sharing to get the game console online. Software firewalls are also a no-no for me (I rely on multiple anti-virus programs instead).
