View Full Version : I have the instant utilities on my weapons panel

Serves me right for messing around with the mission files.

You can't select them as weapons, the game will beep at you if you try, and pressing the ` key doesn't select them.

They disappear at the start of your next turn.

This is probably not shocking news to many people, I know you can get the effects from adding ammo in the scheme file, but I don't think you can get them to appear on the weapons panel using that method.

It's not hard to make them appear on weapons panel, but they should be gone (and thus, immediately activated) once your turn begins.

Simple way: jump into a crate that contains instant utility, but you have to begin the jump at almost the end of turn, and to land on the crate after the end of turn. The same applies for a batty rope/jetpack/bungee, but the crate can be taken anytime outside the turn there

Is that how you get double damage the turn after Steps? I never knew. It's awesome when that happens :)

yes that is. Same with double time and any instant utility that sits in the crate :)

Also you can see it by just not being the first player when playing a scheme that includes them.

Only 2x damage can be embedded into a wsc scheme, as I understand
but it doesn't matter how many you do embed. they're all instantly wasted at the beginning of your turn
