probably it depends on your singleplayer rank. Not sure, and you probably can't change it.

SinglePlayer Rank? Do you mean the Medals in Missions Deathmatch and Trainings, or an imaginar statistik of Quickstart-Matches?

as I said, I also don't know why the AI in quickplay is of level 5, but maybe it's based on a deathmatch rank, missions, trainings. I myself have everything completed too.
If not, then probably it's because the AI lv 5 is good for a competition.
This could be replaced with a modification (wormkit module, for example). Just there's no real need in this.
