I need help. I whant to add new flag to game.

I'm from Serbia and there is no Serbian flag in game. Is there any way to add it?


P.S. And how to change flag by my name (online). I try everything but every time I go online there is some stupid flag by my name.

Create an 8-bit bmp image (dimensions 20x17 pixels) of the Serbian flag and put in *\Team17\Worms Armageddon\User\Flags folder. Then you should be able to select it in game when editing your team.

You need to change your location in Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options to Serbia, then your flag should show up correctly.

No, this was already discussed. Putting just "Serbia" will cause some weirdness with a flag (probably what he has now). Because the game was created before, use "Serbia and Montenegro". That's the closest serbian flag you can get

Well, I only have "Serbia and Montenegro" as an option on my list, so how is it possible to just put "Serbia"? Anyway, thanks for the correction.

It's posible to put only "Serbia" On my windows 7 I have both options

"Serbia" and "Serbia and Montenegro (former)"

You misunderstood ... the most correct flag you can get beside your name is "Serbia and Montenegro". You can only have Serbia flag for your team.. using the steps Darklord said.

If you tried logging into wormnet with a custom country flag (the kind beside your name) it would probably kick everybody out of the channel until you left. That's what used to happen anyway.

All the new country flags we've seen (maybe half a dozen) were added in beta patches by Deadcode/Cybershadow. Maybe they will add Serbia if you ask nicely, but don't hold your breath! They're very busy.

Lol, no. by custom flag you mean just changing it to another one? or introducing a new country flag to the game? making a new flag would require editing nationflags.bmp and some flag would have to be replaced. and you would be fine with it, but no one would actually see it. and you have the palette limitations, as of .pal file.
in any case, it wouldn't kick everybody out.:o

Yes..either by editing or adding a flag to nationflags.bmp this was possible. It may have been when you hosted a game that the players would all disconnect.

To be more specific.. since i know you like detail pac-man :)

using MegaworM's BaP (buttfats and parsnips) 2.5 on W:A version 3.5 pre-beta 3 avocado build,

you could use a command line to host games with an ascii nickname and a flag of your choice. BaP came with a few flags edited into some unused space in nationflags.bmp. the command looked like this "!create (gamename), (hostname), (flag#1-50)". i don't remember if the games were joinable or just to mimic/annoy people.

if you used one of the added-in flags with the !create command it would kick everyone out of #ag and they'd be unable to join for about 5 minutes until your game disappeared from the list.

i had forgotten that you had to use that command.. just installed BaP to try it out.. no luck on the newest beta. that's not a surprise given that Because it directly referenced W:A's memory addresses, the program's code had a long list of pointers that needed to be updated at every new beta update version release, since each compilation of W:A would result in many of the memory addresses changing. The program is currently not maintained, nor has it been since 2005, and most likely does not work at all with the latest update of W:A.

maybe later i'll reinstall prebeta 3 and give it a try.. if i can find it anywhere to download. i'm pretty sure the unused spaces from before are now being used .. there have been a couple flags added to the game .. so it likely wouldn't cause anyone to disconnect.

Ah it's done this way. Pretty interesting. Makes me think of the W2 executable hack where you got Team17 flags and so on :)
