I've tried to get answers on this before but NG. Very annoying I get an error and refer to Errorlog.txt but there aint no such file. Nor game record etc ie NO USER FOLDER. I know this is due to WIN7 but I don't know how to get over it so...please help this old guy

Install the game in C:\Team17\ instead of Program Files

GreeN is right. Program Files has weird permission issues in Windows 7. I personally use "[X]:\games\worms armageddon\". As long as it's not in Program Files, WA should be able to create its directories as expected.

Alternatively changing the Program Files ownership so that you are the owner should resolve any and all problems relating to Program Files for current and future software installations to Program Files.

right click - Properties. Click the Security tab. Change permissions for "Users" to have full access (it's also better to change for everyone else), and save.

To change Ownership it is a bit more involved then that, not too complicated however. Just follow this simple diagram and then close out of all the dialog boxes at the end like it suggests and then re-open the Security settings for the folder and change the security settings like what StepS suggests. (Give Full Control to your user via the dialog box present on the far left in that picture.)

yes. i was hurrying so i didn't describe the ownership part.

for all those who might be interested in this:

If Windows doesn't have permission to write a file (with your current account), it usually stores them in an extra location instead.
This location is here ".\Users\%accountname%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\"

Although for some reason it doesnt always work, maybe certain games/programs are programmed differently with this.
