I was wondering if it's possible to give worms armageddon more ram.
i tryed making an island map 28408 pixels wide and 30552 pixels tall, like it says here: http://worms2d.info/Colour_map
but i got out of memory...

Install more RAM into your PC and use a 64bit operating system. (Windows XP x64, Windows Vista x64 or Windows 7 x64)
Only a 64bit O/S will allow a 32bit program (Like Worms Armageddon) access to 4GB of RAM in total (If you have at least that much RAM installed in your PC). A 32bit program (And the O/S it self) will be limited to around 3.25GB of RAM with a 32bit operating system (x86).

Any 32bit program or more specifically a process is limited to a use of 2GB, even on 64bit systems. You can tweak that weird Windows limitation though (with a method I forgot, but searched up here: http://ondotnet.com/pub/wlg/9304). Not more is possible for logically technically reasons; a 32bit program can't use more than 4GB at all (How would you address the memory above 4GB if you have only 4 Bytes eg. 32 bits of space for the address? Rrrright... not at all!).

Is WA not built to be large address space aware? Maybe it should be...

I have a 64 bit operation system (Win 7 Ultimate)
and i have 8 gb ddr3 ram :)

i think it kinda stupid to have a large limitation like this... but then another limitation limitates that limitation hmm, well thx fro replays anyway
