I've spoken to Des and he seems to be okay with the idea of updating his tweaked version of "S*natch's Worms Patcher" tweak tool for Worms 2 to include new resolution settings like 1920x1080. This thread was made to find out what other resolutions people would like to see added to this program like 1920x1200 etc.

Just let him make a fix for Win7, I can't run the game for some reason. frontend.exe stops working, I have the latest update. 1920x1080 would be a nice resolution too.

The problem is on your end, the game runs fine here under Windows 7.

Good job, I only need 1280x720, 1280x800 and 1920x1080^^
And if it wouldn't mean a complete code rewrite, what about two textboxes for the resolution stuff and a dropdown for alignment x)

At least every resolution in this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution#Computer_Monitors

Why not just have a box into which you can type your resolution? That seems like the laziest (for the coder) and most effective way.

I already said that. But I don't think it's the easiest solution for the dev

I'm not sure how much time I will be able to devote to this. It may seem like adding a new resolution would be simple, but you have to remember; Worms2 was made (in 1997) when many people barely had a higher resolution than 800x600.

Adding certain resolutions are easier than others, widescreen ones tend to be a problem and ones with weird aspect ratios are also a problem.

I'll look into this a bit, but please don't get your hopes up.

Interesting. I remember the 1024x768 mod back in the day. Found this thread trying to figure out a fix for the game opening as a black screen with inverted textures at the top left. Google resulted in a bunch of the old garbage apps we used to make, lol.

646 views over a 4 month period, that's a fair few views for a topic about such an old game.
