The game is final and I still get those performance problems from the beta? Performance is horrible and the game stutters a lot, and without any anti-aliasing on.

No-one else got the problem? I got better performance in the first few beta builds. What happened now?

Uncheck "No Sound" in the start-up menu.

I have the same problem, except I already HAVE unchecked "No Sound" and I still don't have any sound.
Not even T17 Logo Movie produces any sound.

Turns out the game is capped at 30 FPS.

Way to go Team17.

Haven't been on this forum in forever... My game is super slow when I get to the actual gameplay and I know my comp can handle this game.

What kind of rigs are you guys running? I am able to run it at 60Hz/A-A16x/Shadow 4096 and no noticeable slowdown/issues, although the Menu mouse seems sluggish and in game the look is very sensitive?

The only other issues I'm having, are explosions are only displaying in the PiP screen, not the main screen, and names/health not being displayed.

Odd that you should have issues, since I have almost the same setup, just an X6 instead of X4.

Actually I just fixed most of my issues. I went and got updates for AMD drivers through steam. Then after it "messed up" my comp resolution I restarted, my resolution was normal again and the game worked almost like normal. I could actually play but it seems there's a bit of sluggishness still like around shadows? Also the mouse/camera moving is very floaty. Also, it seems a lot of my sounds don't play like shooting/exploding noises.

Yes, I noticed the floatyness as well, but the missing graphics is whats giving me the most trouble, I can't tell the health of enemies, unless I enter blimp mode.

It does however make for interesting shootouts with my buddies in the Western Towns, plenty of cover, means games with lots of shotties/snipers is quite fun.

I was able to fix all of my problems by changing shadow resolution to 4096. Game runs amazing now with all sounds intact, etc.

The game takes loooong to load and i hate the controoools(WHY CAN'T IT BE LIKE WORMS 2:ARMAGEDDON AND THE PREVIOUS 2 TITLES NOT THE STUPID FPS/TPS(Third Person Shooter if anyone is wondering) CONTROLS) and the intro shows how Team 17 went down the hill. They use Lua?? WHAT!!!!????

This game is bad except for some of the gameplay

You are an idiot.

You can change the controls, and Lua is a great language. It's used only for scripting the missions anyway, and why does the language used to code a game matter in the first place?
I don't mind if you're saying that the game is bad, but at least find proper arguments.

This game is bad except for some of the gameplayIf it looks like a third-person shooter, plays like a third-person shooter and works like a third-person shooter, why shouldn't it control like a third-person shooter? If you don't like the 3D gameplay that's fine, but it's very different from the 2D games and if you try to treat it the same you're just gonna make it worse for yourself.

I'm loving the game. I had to come to work early, so I couldn't play a lot last night. Can't wait to play with friends. If anyone is seeing sluggishness/errors on a more current rig, try the methods I've posted above as they helped me.

All 3D Worms games have been developed using Lua, although I'm not sure about Worms Forts.

Perhaps you should try turning A-A to 1x if it feels sluggish, once I tried that to get the particle effects to show, it ran amazingly well, no floaty controls or anything, even though with 16x I didn't notice any lag, just alittle slow on response.

I already mentioned I'm running it without AA on.

The later beta patches brought lag, and the final version brought the FPS cap. I got best performance in the first beta releases.

So a patch came out? Is there a patch noted somewhere so we can see what was changed/fixes made? I don't know since I can't access my pc for 8hrs, ugh work.

A patch was released yesterday that fixed the Alt-Tab problems.

It was "fixed" in the beta. The ATI bug was "fixed" too.

Is the frame rate cap going to be raised in future patches?
