Hi

I want to "export" some of the custom game styles I've made in order to share them between multiple computers participating in a competition.

I have been looking through every folder in the Steam folder related to Worms Reloaded and I can't seem to find anything.

I've noticed that the names of my new styles appear in Profile_PROFILES.dat and I've also found for example Pro.sch in CommonData/Scripts and it contains all the game settings for the Pro-mode. But making a copy of the file, renaming it and changing settings within it does not produce a new available game style.

Does anyone know how to do this? Export a game style ?

Best regards
Wuhtzu

The customs styles are inconveniently stored in Profile_PROFILES.dat. I don't think anyone has created an exporter/importer yet. I think they hoping Team17 updates WR to save styles in a more editable/portable format.

Looks like it's been added:
- Game Styles can now be shared between users. Upon creating a new Game Style (or opening and saving an existing Game Style), a folder called ‘ExportedSchemes’ will be created in the same directory as the executable. Schemes will then automatically be saved as an .xsc file in this folder and can be shared and sent to other users. In order to import a custom Game Style, place the .xsc file in the ExportedSchemes folder and select ‘Import Game Style’ from the Manage Game Styles menu in game

It is a false feature. We still cant edit the exported scheme file as they bloody encrypted it!. So we STILL cant edit the scheme to have 1 crate per turn guarenteed or change retreat time to 10 and more.

Grr damn team17....

But, you know, they could simply add these options to the scheme editor. A much better idea, in my oppinion :p

It would yes but you know they wont.

Um... I would say having sharable schemes was the purpose of this update - an INCREDIBLY GOOD ONE. Making individual fine tunings to schemes - while very much wished for - was not the intent of the update.

Grr damn team17....I don't see why the scheme file would support features the game doesn't either way.

I guess you can't tell... remember Worms 4, for instance? In addition, in the shopper scheme there drop at least three crates each round, something not adjustable using the scheme editor.

The tweak files consist of things like worm speed, AI failure rate, how slippy the landscape is etc. etc. I think with these they could easily add a wormpot :(
