So the tournament officially began yesterday, in case some of you haven't noticed. :P

The Rules:

-Tournament: This is a double elimination tournament. For this purpose, the tournament will split in two parts after the first round of games: The "Winners" section, and the "Not-so-winners" section.
If you lose your first match, you become a "Not-so-winner" and you will get a second chance fighting against fellow "Not-so-winners". Those who win this first set of "Not-so-winners" games get to advance to the next set of "Not-so-winners" games, where they also get to face against the losers from the second set of "Winner" games.
Eventually, we will end up with three people in each section. Three "Winners" and three "Not-so-winners". At this point, the three "Not-so-winners" will face off in a three player game, and the person who comes on top on this game is the only one who gets to move forward, and face against one of the three "Winners".

-Games: Each match will consist of three games, whoever wins two ouf ot three goes to the next round. The only exception to this rule is the three player game that will occur in the final part of the "Not-so-winners" section. For this particular match, a player must win Three games to move to the next round.

-Scheme and map: All games will be using the Standard scheme, and all games must be played on a randomd Island type map only. Tall islands are NOT allowed because they suck. :P

I was recently in a chess tournament were one guy went on a three month vacation making 160 people wait for his return so round 2 could start (only his games remained unfinished). But when his vacation ended he immediately lost all his games due to time because, surprise, he didn't actually come back.

Really annoying since it was a "Quick knockout tournament" :p
